The second season of Rare’s pirate simulation game Sea of Thieves is well underway, and it includes a new rare world event, new challenges and loot, and new items in the Pirate Emporium. The Pirate Emporium is Sea of Thieves‘ storefront for microtransactions. Here, players can purchase ship cosmetics, pets and pet outfits, and pirate emotes, among other goodies. The stock for the Pirate Emporium sometimes changes, so players will want to check back frequently to see everything new it has to offer.

There are two ways players can access the Pirate Emporium in Sea of Thieves. By far the easiest is to access it via the main menu of the game. However, there are Pirate Emporium representatives at Outposts and the Glorious Sea Dogs Tavern in-game as well so players can grab new gear before they load their ship and sail for adventure. Here’s how to find the Pirate Emporium in Sea of Thieves, both on the main menu and in-game, and what kinds of items pirates can obtain there.

How to Access the Pirate Emporium in Sea of Thieves

Likely the easiest way to get to the Pirate Emporium in Sea of Thieves is to use the link found on the game’s main menu. Once Sea of Thieves launches, players can press any button to reach the main menu. They will find the link to the Pirate Emporium on the right side of the screen, above the What’s New tile. Players can use this option to make purchases and change their pirate’s appearance before starting to play.

There are also Pirate Emporium vendors found in-game at every Outpost in Adventure mode and in the Tavern in Arena mode. At Outposts, the Pirate Emporium is usually on the second level of a two-story, wooden building where they find the Order of Souls. Using this option is convenient, as pirates can pick up a new look ahead of a voyage, but it is also more dangerous. Pirates are still susceptible to attack while browsing the Outpost’s Pirate Emporium.

Items available at the Pirate Emporium are always cosmetic, meaning players can’t purchase any upgrades that would increase their power or give them an edge over the competition. These items are purely made to help each pirate feel unique to the world and express themselves.

Some items currently available include:

  • Sea of Thieves Season 2 Plunder Pass
  • Dark Warsmith collection weapon skins, ship cosmetics, and outfits
  • Dagger Tricks emote bundle
  • Feline Finery pet, pet costume, and outfit bundle
  • Parrot pets
  • Capuchin monkey pets
  • Dog pets
  • Monthly Heritage Collection items

To make purchases from the Sea of Thieves Pirate Emporium, players will need to get Ancient Coins. These can be purchased at the Emporium for real money or earned in-game for defeating Ancient Skeletons.

Sea of Thieves is available for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
