A movie event based on Paramount’s SEAL Teamseries has been announced. The original CBS show, which moved to Paramount+ last year for its fifth season on air, follows the action-packed adventures of the elite military SEAL team. Buffy the Vampire Slayer star David Boreanaz heads up the cast as team leader Jason Hayes as the group of soldiers takes on high stakes missions around the World.

Now, as part of a series of announcements, Paramount has revealed that a SEAL Team movie will be heading to Paramount+ in the near future. No plot details have been released, but the film was officially confirmed as an original movie for the streaming service during Paramount’s online showcase. The successful action series was also recently renewed for a 10-episode sixth season on the streaming platform, along with the drama series Evil, which was renewed for a second season following its debut in 2019. Both shows were hit attractions for new users of Paramount+ in 2021, making them key assets for the company in the ongoing streaming wars. Fans of SEAL Team will be excited by the news, which comes along with several huge Paramount properties getting new series, movies, and specials planned for the future.
