Selling Sunset: Chrishell Stause & Jason’s Relationship Timeline

With the announcement that Selling Sunset stars Chrishell Stause and Jason Oppenheim have now officially broken up, this is the perfect time to look back at their brief but intense relationship timeline. During the lead-up to Selling Sunset season 4, it was revealed on social media that Chrishell and Jason had started to date. But as the season became available on Netflix, it became clear right away that the timeline of the show went back to before this new relationship actually began.

As the last episode wrapped up most of the season 4 storylines, Netflix teased Selling Sunset season 5 by showing the upcoming footage of Chrishell and Jason getting into their new relationship. Overall, it was understood that Chrishell and Jason’s new pairing would take center stage in season 5. But with the latest update that Jason and Chrishell have already broken up, it is interesting to look back at their full relationship timeline outside of Netflix’s scheduling for new seasons of Selling Sunset.

Dating Announcement In July 2021

Jason and Chrishell officially announced that they were dating with a series of pictures that were shared via Instagram on July 28, 2021. These photos were taken during Chrishell and Jason’s trip with Mary Fitzgerald and her husband Romain Bonnet, as well as Brett Oppenheim and his girlfriend Tina Louise. Needless to say, this turned out to be a triple date of a vacation – but fans didn’t know that tidbit until these pictures were posted. As 2021 went on, Chrishell and Jason attended the premiere of Marvel’s Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings together and were also spotted as a couple during certain New York Fashion Week events.

Relationship Scenes For Selling Sunset Season 5

There was no doubt that Chrishell and Jason’s relationship kept progressing in subsequent months, but their relationship wasn’t actually highlighted on Selling Sunset season 4. Instead, this cycle focused on the issues between Christine Quinn and her coworkers, as well as Davina Potratz’s eventual return to the Oppenheim Group. The season also introduced newbies Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan. With that said, season 4 ended with a teaser for season 5 that very clearly showed Chrishell and Jason already being a couple. One can assume that the upcoming season will show them flirting with each other and then crossing the line from friends to boyfriend and girlfriend.

Breakup Announcement In December 2021

Unfortunately, various sources have now confirmed to publications such as People (among others) that Chrishell and Jason have broken up as of December 21, 2021. It is still very likely that Selling Sunset season 5 will focus on Jason and Chrishell progressing in their romantic relationship, but fans will now know as they watch the show that things are already over between them. This might be a bummer for Chrishell, Jason, and the fans of Selling Sunset who had grown to like them as a couple. However, one can expect that this breakup happened for the right reasons and will make both of them happier than they were before.
