Selling Sunset: Justin Hartley’s Relationship Timeline After Chrishell

Selling Sunset fans got to see Chrishell Stause’s emotional journey after learning about her divorce from Justin Hartley through a text message. Many people blasted Justin for how cruel he came off on the show despite not filming any scenes. Shortly after the divorce filing, Justin was seen getting cozy with his former co-star from The Young and The Restless, Sofia Pernas.

Justin Hartley and Chrishell Stause had only been married for two years when the This Is Us actor decided to call it quits. Chrishell was left heartbroken by the decision. She noted the two had been arguing but felt that it had always been over issues that they could work through. In November 2019, however, Justin hit the Netflix star with divorce papers. It was his second divorce following his marriage to Lindsay Korman from 2004 to 2012. By May 2020, Justin was spotted kissing Sofia after she dropped him off at a doctor’s appointment. This sighting appeared to confirm how quickly the actor moved on after filing for divorce.

The romance between Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas continued to heat up as Chrishell Stause went on to briefly date Dancing With The Stars pro dancer Keo Motsepe after meeting him on the show. But shortly after Valentine’s Day, Chrishell confirmed that she broke up with the dancer. At the MTV Movie & TV Awards in May 2021, Justin and Sofia appeared to confirm they secretly tied the knot as they made their red carpet debut while both wearing bands on their left ring finger, Us Weekly reports. Their secret nuptials came one year after the couple confirmed their romance.

Shortly after making their red carpet debut, Justin and Sofia were spotted enjoying lunch at Central Park eatery Tavern on the Green, Page Six reports. Insiders said the newlyweds “cozied up together” and appeared completely smitten with each other. Sofia was once friends with Chrishell and would even be seen leaving comments on her and Justin’s photos during their marriage. But by February 2020, people noticed Chrishell unfollowed her and their social media activity ended.

With all of these individuals being former co-stars on The Young and The Restless, it’s clear that Chrishell felt betrayed. “I feel like anybody would be heartbroken to see how quickly or easily you are replaced; of course that’s going to sting,” Chrishell said in September 2020 after breaking her silence on Justin and Sofia’s relationship. Hopefully, the Selling Sunset star is over the heartbreak and able to make peace with her ex-husband and former friend falling in love behind her back.
