Selling Sunset: What We Know About Amanza Smith’s Famous Exes

Amanza Smith from Selling Sunset was a model who became an interior designer. Then, she became a real estate agent. When it comes to brokering real estate deals, she’s a relatively new face. However, she is a long-time player in LA’s social scene. Little did we know that the 43-year-old has a list of fairly famous exes. One of them even made a cameo on her reality TV show.

Smith is a single mother with two children, Braker, 8, and Noah, 10. They are her kids from a short-lived marriage to former NFL star Ralph Brown, which ended in 2012. She has also been linked to Taye Diggs, *NSYNC member JC Chasez, and lead singer of The Script, Danny O’Donoghue.

According to People, Smith acknowledges that when it comes to her romantic life, she needs someone just as exciting as she is. Earlier this week, Smith sat down with Amanda Hirsch of the podcast Not Skinny Not Fat, and let her fans know a couple of extra things about her. Specifically, she went through the roster of some of her famous exes. This woman has more than dating on her mind, though, as seen in the post below:

Amanza’s relationship with Taye Diggs was kind of addressed during Selling Sunset season 2, but she was keen on keeping most of the details about her romance with him private until this week. Smith and Diggs got together following his divorce from his wife of 14 years, Broadway star Idina Menzel. The couple lived together and raised their children together, in a blended family. Why didn’t it work out? Well, five years later, they realized that they were not focused on dating and were better off as friends. She acknowledges that, “…if you’re the first relationship someone has fresh out of a divorce, it’s probably never going to work.“

Flashback to 2001: Amanza and JC Chasez met and began dating on and off for many years. Their relationship started around the same time that *NSYNC’s stardom was taking off. Amanza and future Selling Sunset co-star Mary Fitzgerald attended several of the boy band’s concerts together. Amanza and Mary are longtime friends.

Her tumultuous marriage with Ralph Brown is the most discussed onscreen. It is not so clear what led to their separation. The children they had together from their marriage of two years motivate Smith to excel in her multi-faceted career. Brown’s disappearance in 2019 made Smith Braker and Noah’s sole supporter, and prompted her to file for sole custody of her two children.

Following her divorce from NFL star Brown, she moved on to date another musician. While at an Irish pub, she stumbled across the Irish singer and leading voice of The Script, Danny O’Donoghue. Danny invited her to a music video shoot the next day, where the band and rapper will.i.am were filming for their hit, “Hall of Fame.” She explains to Hirsch, “We lived in different countries and I was fresh out of a divorce with a one and two year old… he was like 30 with no kids.” Smith says that their lifestyles weren’t compatible and the “rebound” relationship was short-lived. However, they have recently been in touch. Amanza from the popular show Selling Sunset said she had to let him know she name-dropped him.

Smith and her Selling Sunset co-stars, Mary Fitzgerald and the Oppenheim brothers, have been friends for over 20 years, and she was quick to fit into the team. She was one of the newest faces to join The Oppenheim Group and the hit show. When discussing her friends, she says that they do have something to say about her dating life. “They’re like, ‘Why don’t you just date someone regular?’ And I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m not f—king regular. I have a big personality. I like big personalities.’”

Selling Sunset‘s newest star is definitely one to turn heads. In an over-exaggerated LA world, she is appealing thanks to her realness and strong, grounded energy. She is open about her struggles with her ex-husband and her life as a single mother and is willing to share with viewers when she wants to. She’s also all about keeping it real with exes! Kudos to a woman that can keep the peace after a breakup.
