Sense8: 10 Most Hated Supporting Characters

Sense8 is a sci-fi drama with a multinational main and supporting cast. The 8 sensates are linked with each other mentally but have separate story lines with their own problems.

Sense8 has 8 main characters and several supporting characters, but not every character was particularly likable.

10 Janet Marks

Janet Marks who is the mother of one of the sensates, Nomi, and is downright vicious. The disapproving, transphobic mother is played by Sandra Fish. She could never accept her daughter’s trans woman status and constantly abused her. It developed a hate in Nomi for her mother.

Janet called Nomi by her birth name (Michael), didn’t let Nomi’s girlfriend meet her when she was in the hospital and so on. Basically, the anti-trans character was made to be hated.

9 Bambie

Bambie is Shugs’ romantic and sexual partner, who is Riley’s close friend. The Australian character is played by Nicôle Lecky. The character appears in three episodes of season 1.

She has an impulsive personality and brutally honest mouth which on many occasions did not come across as pleasant to the viewers. More so, the English actress could not do the Australian accent which did not go well with viewers, especially when accompanied with her brazen behavior.

8 Daniela Velázquez

Daniela is an actress who helped Lito in hiding his sexual orientation in order to save his acting career. Lito used her to make the public believe he is straight, while Daniela tried to push herself on Lito and threatened to call the press.

She has an obnoxious attitude and is kind of pushy. She even secretly photographed Lito and Hernando (her own boyfriend). She is also an ex-girlfriend to a violent, Joaquín Flores. The character is played by Eréndira Ibarra.

7 Shugs

Shugs is an old friend of Riley. He is into drugs, and in one of the episodes of season 1, Shugs sells out Riley to a powerful drug dealer Nyx. He ends up nearly killing her while interrogating her about his drugs and money.

The character is played by Frank Dillane.

6 Amanita Caplan

Amanita is Nomi’s girlfriend and is nicknamed as “Neets.” The character is played by Freema Agyeman.

She a grating edge in her personality. Her relationship with Nomi also, on occasions, felt too saccharine. She was presented as eye-candy who was a do-all girlfriend for Nomi. However, she was always a positive character and later became an ally for the new sensates.

5 Joaquín Flores

Joaquín Flores, played by Raúl Méndez, is the jealous and violent abusive ex-boyfriend of Daniela. Although he is a minor character, he shapes the story of Lito as he locks horns with him when Daniela starts living with Lito.

He breaks into Lito’s apartment and intimidates Lito and Daniela. He also stole Daniela’s phone and then blackmailed her and Lito with the photos of Lito and Hernando whose sexuality they were tying to hide.

4 Steiner Bogdanow

Steiner Bogdanow is a wicked Russian mobster. He is the cousin of Wolfgang and is at war with him and his friend, Felix, where they fight over possession of expensive jewels. Steiner shoots Felix who slips into a coma, then he beats and nearly kills Wolfgong, only to be saved by Lito.

The character is played by Christian Oliver. He ended up being killed by Wolfgang with the help of Lito.

3 Anton Bogdanow

Anton Bogdanow was an abusive father to Wolfgang. Anton said that he only cared about five things which are eating, drinking, shitting, fornicating, and fighting for more. He abused Wolfgang physically and mentally when he was young. As a boy, Wolfgang strangled Anton to death, then he placed his father’s body in a car and set fire to it.

The character is played by Bernhard Schütz. He appears in five episodes.

2 Diego Morales

Diego Morales is the police partner of Will. Initially Will finds him problematic as Diego prefers to work within the confines of his conduct. He frequently criticized Will when he attempted to rescue a wounded boy or use his father’s authorization to speak to Jonas. However, he helped Will with cases, whenever required.

He comes off as a chauvinistic character to viewers. The character is played by Ness Bautista.

1 Lila Facchini

Lila Facchini is a sensate from another cluster and appears in season 2. The character is played by Valeria Bilello. She is a close ally to the “The King of the North,” Sebastian Fuchs. She was also attracted towards Wolfgang from the very beginning. She had a conspiring attitude and manipulative personality and did anything to get what she wanted.

When Wolfgang refused her offer to convert Berlin into a Sensate rione, she was adamant on punishing Wolfgang, and sold him out  to Whispers. She was ruthless, trained assassin and became indifferent  to killing people. She ended up being killed by Will.
