Will Crackle legal drama Sequestered return for a second season? Streaming service Crackle has produced a number of original shows and movies over the years. Their most successful show would be Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, which lives up to the central premise as Jerry Seinfeld takes famous actors and comedians out for some coffee and conversion. Crackle hosted the first nine seasons of the show, which later moved to Netflix. They achieved another cult hit with animated superhero comedy SuperMansion, which ran for three seasons and featured the voices of Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Keegan-Michael Key and Yvette Nicole Brown.

They also produced several movies including Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, Office Uprising and Dead Rising: Watchtower and Endgame, with the duology based on the popular Dead Rising video game series. In 2014 they debuted their legal thriller series Sequestered, where a group of twelve jurors is sequestered to decide the fate of a man accused of killing Governor Bennett’s (Patrick Warburton, Family Guy) young son. The show gathered together a great ensemble cast, including Jesse Bradford, Summer Glau (Firefly), Bruce Davison and many more. The show received solid reviews during its run and it kept the plot twists coming thick and fast.

Given how well-received it was, what are the chances of Sequestered season 2 coming together?

Sequestered’s Finale Wrapped Up (Most) Of The Loose Ends

By the end of Sequestered’s twelve episodes, Malcolm Miller was found innocent and Governor Bennett was taken into custody by the FBI for his various misdeeds. While not everything was neatly wrapped up – such as the issue of the ransom money – it would be hard to see how a second series could squeeze another full season out of the story.

There’s Been No Word On Sequestered Season 2

Since the season 1 finale “Ashes To Ashes” went up there’s been no sign of movement on Sequestered season 2. It’s unknown if it was even planned for the show to continue beyond one season if it proved successful. Perhaps it could have picked up on some of the remaining story threads left behind by season 1 or been an anthology series that featured a new set of characters.

Sequestered Season 2 Is Doubtful

While the first season received mostly warm reviews and attracted a cult following, it wasn’t a huge success either. For that reason, it’s doubtful Sequestered season 2 is likely. It’s been over five years since it ended and the cast have all moved on.
