Shin Megami Tensei V: Nuwa Boss Guide (Tips, Stats, & Strategies)

Shin Megami Tensei V features a variety of demonic bosses such as Nuwa, a powerful early-game boss with limited weaknesses to exploit. Nuwa is the second major boss in Shin Megami Tensei V and can be found in the Tokyo Diet Building. Players will need to use the right abilities to beat her, but, luckily, her health only needs to be dropped to 50% in order to win the fight. Unfortunately, even half of Nuwa’s health is still a large amount, and she has a few powerful attacks.

Players will need to progress through the game, defeat the first boss, and reach the Tokyo Diet Building to face off against Nuwa.  Upon entering the building, a short cutscene introducing Nuwa will play out, and she will transform into her demonic form, then the fight will begin. It’s recommended that players reach at least level 22 before attempting the second boss fight.

To prepare for the battle with Nuwa in Shin Megami Tensei V, it’s essential that players assemble a good team with a strong offense. Nuwa has a few powerful strikes that can be devastating if players don’t take her out as quickly as possible. There are also certain items players can purchase and use to prevent her from using her most powerful attack, Sacrifice of Clay +7. Players will also need to consider the elemental strengths and weaknesses of both their characters and the boss.

Strategies for Defeating Nuwa in Shin Megami Tensei V

There are powerful demonic bosses in Shin Megami Tensei V that get more difficult as players progress through the game. Even though Nuwa is the second major boss fight, she can be quite difficult for players who aren’t prepared. She’s weak against fire, so players should have a team that can exploit that weakness. On the same note, players should avoid using characters that have a force or electric weakness. Nuwa is also immune to dark and electric skills, so avoid using those skills against her and wasting an attack.

The best strategy for beating Nuwa is to play offensively and get her health down to half before she can use her Sacrifice of Clay +7 skill with a full Magatsuhi gauge. The best way to do that is to use Force Dampeners on her just before she uses a skill with the full bar because it will stop her from being able to attack. Force Dampeners can be purchased before the fight at the item shop, and players should get a few of them in preparation for the fight.

There are a variety of bosses to battle in Shin Megami Tensei V, and Nuwa is a rather difficult one to face early on in the game. She has only one major weakness and several strengths that make her a powerful opponent, but players only need to deplete half of Nuwa’s health. A strong offense that excludes characters weak to force and electric skills will help players defeat Nuwa more easily. After beating her, players can continue to the next demon boss in Shin Megami Tensei V.
