The TV adaptation of the acclaimed Swedish vampire film Let the Right One In has landed two more cast members. Showtime greenlit a 10-episode run back in September, set to begin production in early 2022 in New York City. It will be the third adaptation of John Ajvide Lindqvist’s 2004 novel of the same name, following a 2008 Swedish feature film and the 2010 American remake titled Let Me In.

Deadline reports that Emmy Award winner Željko Ivanek and Fernanda Andrade join the series as Arthur and Elizabeth, respectively. Arthur is the former CEO of a disgraced pharmaceutical company and the father of Claire (Grace Gummer), who turned down the role of leading the family business. Elizabeth is the wife of Demián Bichir’s Mark and mother to their vampire child, Eleanor, played by Madison Taylor Baez, whom they must care for and feed. Ivanek and Andrade replace Larry Pine and Susan Santiago, who played their roles in the pilot episode.

Both actors join the recently announced Nick Stahl playing Matthew, a former soldier who is now a fixer for the Logan family. Ivanek won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series in 2008 for his role as Ray Fiske in Damages and will be one of the most veteran cast members in Let the Right One In. He already has experience with vampire TV shows, appearing in HBO’s True Blood as the Magister. Andrade is best known for her role in The Devil Inside and appeared in other TV dramas like Sons of Anarchy and NCIS. They continue the trend of cast members who have experience in the horror genre, including The Walking Dead’s Kevin Carroll.
