A fan clarified Kody and David’s resemblance, joking, “They are related, so [Robyn] def kept it in the family.” Although there’s some distance between Kody and David, some fans were disturbed to learn Robyn didn’t get as far away from her ex as might have thought.

Robyn might have wanted to forget about David after divorcing him, but fans assert the Sister Wives star ended up marrying his third cousin. As if Kody and David being third cousins isn’t bizarre enough, Sister Wives fans also confirmed that Robyn’s ex-husband is even more closely related to Robyn’s ex-sister wife, Christine. A commenter explained, “I believe [David and Christine] are first cousins.” Strangely, this confirms that Kody and Christine are also distantly related. Fortunately, the former spouses are not as closely linked as David and Christine are as another commenter recalled, “Christine and Kody are blood-related by great-great-grandparents.”

Robyn was looking to change her life after surviving her abusive marriage with David, but Sister Wives fans assert that the man she married was more like David than she could’ve realized. Robyn’s ex-husband is related to Kody and Christine Brown as the Mormon community’s family trees have resulted in many Utah residents being distant cousins with one another. Hopefully, Christine can find someone outside of her bloodline if she marries again after leaving Kody in Sister Wives season 16.
