Meri Brown’s only daughter Mariah has made a name for herself as one of the most interesting parts of Sister Wives. When Mariah came out as gay, she forced her parents, especially her biological mother Meri, to come to terms with their religion. They struggled to accept Mariah as a result of their conservative beliefs, but ultimately each member of the Brown family has embraced and accepted Mariah in one way or another. The mold-breaking Mariah Brown lives life on her own terms and isn’t afraid to speak out about issues she cares about.

Sister Wives has focused on polygamists Kody, Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn Brown, but it has also given the stage to their many children. In total, the Brown family share eighteen children, and tensions sometimes arise when one mother feels like her children don’t get equal treatment. In the most recent episode, Christine swallowed her anger as Kody refused to travel with his daughter Ysabel for her back surgery. Mariah Brown, meanwhile, was watching over Meri Brown’s bed and breakfast in the latest episode. She made sure to mention that it was not going to be a permanent arrangement. Mariah has interests outside of her family and their many businesses.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Mariah Brown went to college in Salt Lake City and Chicago. She started at Westminster College in Salt Lake City and graduated from Loyola University in Chicago in 2020 with a degree in social work. In college, she realized that she was attracted to women and not attracted to men, something she’d never let herself accept before due to her upbringing. Mariah came out as a lesbian to the world in 2017 on an episode of Sister Wives, and viewers tweeted in their support for the Brown’s third child. Mariah has been dating Audrey Kiss since January of 2017, and the couple got engaged two years later, in January of 2019. They are currently still engaged and live together in Utah.

Mariah works at Promise South Salt Lake as a program manager. Promise South Salt Lake offers free after school programming with an academic and prevention focus. She is also a recreational assistant at William E. Christoffersen Salt Lake Veterans Home. Mariah was born on July 29, 1995, and is 25 years old. Her Instagram is @mariahbrwn. She’s a vocal advocate on Instagram – her three most recent posts are about Black Lives Matter, pride month, and voting. She often posts smoothie recipes, yoga exercises, and photos of her pets. In one post, she wrote about how she loves being an aunt to her nieces and nephews, and she confirmed that she hopes to raise children with her fiancé Audrey someday.

Mariah Brown challenged her parents’ traditions in many ways. Like every other Brown child, she does not want to live a polygamist lifestyle. Mariah adds a modern element to the otherwise outdated family dynamic of the Brown family. With this season of Sister Wives ending on such fraught terms as Christine and Kody both questioned their desire to continue with polygamy, the fate of the Brown family is not known. However, Mariah has created a life for herself that will continue on no matter that happens to her parents.
