Sister Wives: Why Gwen Is Joking About Robyn Being Her ‘Step Mom’

Gwendlyn Brown of Sister Wives couldn’t help herself in a recent Instagram post when she decided to poke fun at Robyn Brown and call her a “stepmom.” For the most part, the daughter of Christine and Kody Brown has kept a pretty low profile online. However, recently, she has been sharing more of her life through her social media platform.

Fans have watched Gwen grow up right in front of the cameras for the last ten years. Gwendlyn is the eleventh child out of 18 and is usually calm, cool, and collected when dealing with her polygamous family. She is Christine and Kody’s fourth child and made her TLC debut at the age of eight. The now-20-year-old has had an interesting season as she watched the demise of her mother and father’s toxic relationship. Gwen has already started to speak out against her father, who she is not happy with at all. Many of Kody’s children are starting to hold him accountable for his lack of presence in their lives. Gwen is now turning her sights on Kody’s favorite wife, Robyn.

Kody’s daughter is all grown up now and sharing some intriguing opinions of her own. In a recent Instagram post, Gwen couldn’t help herself when pointing out to one follower that Robyn was now her stepmother. In the comment section, Gwen replied to a fan, saying, “she’s my stepmom.” Most followers immediately felt that the comment was just Gwen’s humor shining through, pointing out that it was probably a joke. It makes sense since Christine essentially divorced Kody out of nowhere. The move would then make Robyn her stepmom since Kody is still very much married to her. Check out Gwen’s post below:

Gwen’s post actually had nothing to do with her family and was just a photo montage of herself and a few friends while hanging out in Utah. A few investigative fans thought that the statement may not have been made in jest, noting that during a past season, Robyn mentioned that she hated being thought of as a stepmother. Robyn, who may have married Kody for money, explained further to the cameras, adding that it is how a lot of Kody’s children viewed her at the time. The Sister Wives theory adds up since Robyn was introduced to the family so late in the game that it would be difficult for any child to place her on the same level as Kody’s first three wives.

Naturally, Robyn did not comment on Gwen’s post, but it sure left Sister Wives fans thinking. Gwen was recently in the news after her brother Paedon admitted that she was scared to be around him after he slapped her a few years ago. Christine has been trying to mend the fences between her two children but with no success. Gwen looks like she is quite content in posting on her social media while staying clear of most of her family.
