The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s most recognizable in-game companion, Lydia, has been caught trying online dating with a fake yet hilarious Tinder profile. But while Lydia is a go-to choice for any Skyrim fan, there’re multiple mods that increase companion options for those who crave diversity.

In case picking basic companions is no longer an engaging choice for another Skyrim playthrough, there’s an intriguing mod that adds Kratos, the God of War himself, as a player follower. Available for the PC version of the game, the mod introduces Kratos as a recruitable companion who can progress up to level 1000 alongside the player character. The character looks exactly like he does in his own game, thanks to an authentically recreated model. Additionally, the famed Leviathan Axe is the weapon of choice for Skyrim‘s Kratos.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Recently Skyrim’s most memorable in-game companion, Lydia, has been featured in a hilariously accurate yet obviously fake Tinder profile, as shared by LiKINGtheODds on Reddit. In the NPC’s description, there are mentions of Lydia’s most annoying features, or as the Reddit user calls them, her “hobbies.” According to the list, the companion enjoys standing in doorways blocking the passage for players, which has probably been experienced by many players who choose to travel with her. Next come Lydia’s constant complaints about her job, which is somewhat justified, considering most players use the poor NPC as a free inventory extension. Finally, Lydia loves dying in the most inconvenient places imaginable, which is another sad truth about the follower. Luckily, the clumsy Nord warrior can be brought back to life thanks to the magic of console commands.

There are countless ways for companions to die in Skyrim, and it’s not always about combat. As randomly recorded by one player, a Skyrim follower was violently launched in space after a hilarious glitch occurred out of nowhere. In the video, the player can be seen activating one of the entrances to a Dwemer ruin. As the tower is lifting from its concealed underground position, the NPC gets flung with brutal force. This unexpected flight must’ve ended in instant death for the poor character.

After releasing numerous times on the majority of existing gaming devices, Skyrim has become a phenomenon recognizable outside the gaming community. The same goes for its most popular features, such as the famed horned helmet, dragon shouts, and companions, among other features. As the most well-known follower, Lydia is now a part of community-driven lore, which has expanded far beyond the game itself. And the recent Tinder profile emphasizes this peculiarity in a deliberately direct manner.
