Like it or not, Solo: A Star Wars Story, made an impact on the Star Wars universe when it hit the big screen. A younger Han and new characters with big Hollywood A-lister names all appeared in various scenes both together and individually.

Like many other films, the main characters tend to have more screen time than the supporting characters do, but Solo is a part of Star Wars, after all, and many loyal and new fans felt that they could have seen more scenes with some of the supporting cast. This is because the Star Wars universe has so many characters that, when fans see some make even a quick cameo, perhaps they should have had more screen time.

10 Most: Han Solo

This one is pretty obvious, aside from the fact that the movie is indeed called, Solo, Han definitely holds the most screen time as the film explores the adventures from his adolescence into adulthood. The scenes showing him serving in the army as a pilot, then, of course, getting kicked out of it, are integral to his character, and his skills as the eventual pilot of the Millenium Falcon.

Played by Alden Ehrenreich, this younger Han Solo clearly has a lot of both physically and emotionally active scenes throughout the film, from stealing the coaxium to flirting a whole lot with Qi’ra.

9 Least: Lando Calrissian

Despite his major significance to Han’s life, as well as to the entire Star Wars universe, Lando doesn’t really have as much screen time as he probably should. His scenes positively show off his gambling yet tenacious demeanor as the first and last card games with Han unfold, literally.

Viewers quickly understand how important Lando’s role is once he reveals that he is the sole owner of the one and only Millenium Falcon. Han would later acquire it after the last card game the two characters play, with Han learning from Lando, the smart con artist himself, how to win the game.

8 Most: Chewbacca

Fans will always know him and love him! Chewie, short for Chewbacca obviously, has screen time that goes neck and neck to Qi’ra’s, however, Chewie has a good amount of screen time as Han’s future sidekick and copilot. Viewers are first introduced to the origins of Chewie and Han’s friendship in an interesting scene when Han is thrown into the underground cage for “the beast” to eat him up.

Chewie proves to be better than just the caged “beast,” as he listens to Han and eventually helps him out in flying the famous, Millenium Falcon. One of the most fascinating scenes with Chewbacca is when he reunites with other wookies and helps them escape their imprisonment.

7 Least: L3

The droid that would later in time become one of the brains within the Millenium Falcon, L3 is also Lando’s intelligent partner. L3’s personality comes out in full force as her strikingly tough and sassy attitude entertains fans, talking back to Lando and showing him who’s boss.

L3’s demise is definitely saddening, although she does not die in vain, as she becomes a part of the ship’s intelligence, her entire storyline itself deserves more time in the film. As a unique and helpful droid, she leads Lando, Han, and the rest of the crew to success in the Kessel run to steal the coaxium for Dryden.

6 Most: Qi’ra

As the leading lady of the film played by the widely-beloved Emilia Clarke, Qi’ra also has a lot of screen time, though definitely not quite as much as Han. From viewing her as young, living on the awful streets of Corellia with Han, to becoming the mature woman she is, viewers see this character with screen time that actually emphasizes her growth.

Although she ends up revealing her dark side in her final scene, Qi’ra’s scenes involve many physical stunts that accentuate the total warrior she grows into and also the convincing charmer she proves to be. Since she is one of the first main characters fans see, she is present in many scenes throughout the movie until the end when she leaves Han.

5 Least: Darth Maul

What a shocking moment it truly was to see Darth Maul suddenly appear onscreen in front of Qi’ra after sweetly telling Han to save Chewbacca. While there is a reason for his very brief screen duration, Darth Maul is the character that has the least screen time out of all of these main characters. While he is a huge figure in the Star Wars universe, Darth Maul’s concise scene with Qi’ra emphasizes how much the film highlights the newer characters more than the well-known ones.

This makes sense, however, once fans first saw this moment in theaters, it remained as one of the best cliffhangers ever. It’s partially because of Darth Maul’s short screen time in Solo that fans created theories surrounding the potential future of Qi’ra’s character.

4 Most: Tobias Beckett

Normally called “Beckett” for short, this character is played by Woody Harrelson, and his screen time takes up a large chunk of this film. With scenes highlighting that he may be untrustworthy, as he does, in fact, reveal himself to be in the end, Beckett’s personality as a risk-taker, fighter, and manipulator shines throughout his scenes with the other characters.

He appears in the beginning section of the entire film, being introduced when Han teams up with him, and he continues to appear in almost every scene up until one of the last scenes of the movie when he is killed.

3 Least: Val

Val fights with grit and diligence, and her time onscreen is too short for how brilliant of a person she is. Prior to her self-sacrificial moment, viewers see a female character that shows the strength of savviness in how a team can function. Alas, Val isn’t given enough time to show off her skills, as she is not just a thief, she is a leader.

Sitting around the fire with the others, Val is the main cue to Han’s emotional revelation to the group of the real reason why he is trying to earn money and buy a ship, which is because of Qi’ra. If Val was onscreen more in this film, the first meeting with Dryden after the primary failure would probably have improved with her clever and sharp attitude.

2 Most: Dryden Vos

Although he certainly does not appear in every single scene, this bad boy has a decent amount of screen time in scenes with either or all of Han, Qi’ra, Beckett, and Chewbacca. Dryden’s scenes all contain the one sense of urgency that he causes, and that is fear.

The aggressive figurehead of Crimson Dawn consistently shows his violent persona, especially as he uses Qi’ra to his advantage and makes it clear that she is expendable in his eyes. Dryden’s scenes are filled with animosity and battle, giving the entire film and its characters action-packed, warzone opportunities.

1 Least: Enfys

If this character’s name isn’t recognizable to some, then that is part of the problem with her short screen time. Enfys Nest leads a group of pirates that consistently fights against the crime syndicate of Crimson Dawn. One of the battles she leads her crew into is the one against Beckett, Han, Val, and the others on Vandor in their attempt to steal coaxium for Dryden Vos.

Enfys later explains who they are and also assists Han and the others defeat Dryden. Behind the mask, viewers can’t see nor understand who Enfys really is as a person until she unmasks herself and talks to everyone about who they all are and what they do. Although she is given several powerful minutes onscreen in the final fight against Dryden, Enfys still is one of the characters with the least screen time.
