AMC’s new anthology series, Soulmates, is all about the idea of using science to find true love, and the stories that explore this concept feature a number of notable TV stars. Created by William Bridges and Brett Goldstein, the six-episode TV show investigates how a futuristic soulmate test can affect an array of relationships. Ahead of the show’s premiere, Soulmates was renewed for a second season.

Soulmates follows characters in each episode, detailing the fallout from a proven “test” that links any living human to their one true love. Though unconventional at first, the soulmate test becomes the norm among the public – even though it has a tendency to ruin already formed romantic relationships. While the test has success, it has also changed the world’s perspective when it comes to all aspects of love.
