Southern Charm: How Thomas Ravenel & Kathryn Are Getting Along Lately

Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis from Southern Charm seem to be getting along again after another custody battle. Since the couple got together in 2014, Kathryn and Thomas’ relationship has been very tumultuous. After dating on and off for less than a year, Kathryn found out she was expecting the couple’s first child. Later that year, Kathryn and Thomas welcomed their first daughter together, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel.

Despite ending their relationship shortly after welcoming their daughter, who they nicknamed Kensie, Kathryn soon discovered she was pregnant again with Thomas’ second child. The pair briefly reunited in 2015 after filming the Southern Charm season 2 reunion. A few months later, Kathryn and Thomas welcomed their son St. Julien Rembert Ravenel, who they simply call Saint. Since having their two children, Kathryn and Thomas have been at odds regarding the custody of their kids. However, it seems the parents are now finally on the same page.

After another custody battle earlier this year, the former couple is finally in a good place again. Earlier this week, Kathryn shared a few Instagram Stories in celebration of Saint’s sixth birthday. The 30-year-old threw her son a dinosaur-themed birthday party at the apartment she shares with her boyfriend of more than a year, Chleb Ravenell. In the photos, Thomas can be seen in the background taking part in his son’s birthday celebrations. In fact, in one of the photos, Kathryn and Thomas were spotted sharing a hug at the birthday party. The reality star also shared a snap to her Instagram grid of Thomas’ second son, Jonathan Jackson, along with his mother Heather Mascoe, whom Thomas was previously engaged to.

While it is unclear what caused Kathryn and Thomas to come together again as a family, their relationship seems to be in a much better place compared to last year. Kathryn temporarily lost custody of her two children and was only allowed supervised weekend visitation with them. Thomas’ attorney confirmed the rumors were true in a statement with People while claiming he planned to move to Aiken, South Carolina for the summer. Despite a rocky start to 2021, Kathryn and Thomas are clearly on better terms. For Kathryn to be able to stay in the same room as Thomas and Heather and celebrate her son’s birthday could only mean that the two are on a better path in terms of their co-parenting.

Kathryn has been spending more time with her kids as well, as she has posted a number of photos with them since the end of August. Hopefully, this get-together means Kathryn and Thomas are willing to put the past behind them and focus on taking care of their kids together. Bringing the whole family together has brought peace between Kathryn and Thomas. Not only is the Southern Charm star willing to forgive Thomas for everything he has put her through, but she even invited Heather to tag along to her son’s birthday. While fans have seen a reconciliation like this before from Kathyrn and Thomas, hopefully, this time, their relationship stays cordial.
