Southern Charm: Why Jenna King Was Unforgettable During Season One

Jenna King appeared on Southern Charm season 1, but she never returned to the series after that. In fact, some fans may not even remember that she was a part of the show. During her one season, Jenna became known for her unconventional style and loud personality. She was different from the rest of her castmates, seeing as she does not dress or talk like your typical southern belle. While she has all the qualities to make her an unforgettable character, she never made it to a second season.

During her one season on the Bravo reality series, Jenna King was mainly close to Cameran Eubanks. The pair formed a strong friendship over the course of that season, and they still keep in touch nowadays. However, after the season finished airing, Jenna was not asked back to the show and decided to ditch Charleston for sunny Los Angeles. Some viewers were upset to see her go, as her storyline had become one of the most captivating and unforgettable.

Jenna King was a part of the original cast of Southern Charm, and she was probably the most memorable of the group. She had an interesting storyline that had the potential for her to make it to season 2. At the time, Jenna was rumored to be dating a man named Lou, who was reportedly over 30 years her senior.  She continued to deny that he was funding her lavish lifestyle, but her co-stars weren’t buying it. Jenna tended to come off as inauthentic during her time on the Bravo series. As such, certain fans were unable to relate to her because she seemed to be “living the life” on TV. On the other hand, the fans would never forget her ability to keep up this façade over the season.

Not only was Jenna inauthentic on the show, but her castmates also made no mention of her since she left. Even though her presence was unforgettable, it was as if Jenna was never a part of the series. In fact, according to a Reddit thread, Jenna was fired from Southern Charm because she wasn’t from Charleston. There were rumors that Jenna was living in L.A., but Whitney Sudler-Smith, the creator of the show, asked her to move back to Charleston to be on the Bravo series. Not only was she lying about where she lived, but Jenna’s four-bedroom home – which she claimed to own – was rented by the production crew, according to Distractify. 

Even though Jenna was unforgettable during her one season on Southern Charm, she seems to be living a more authentic life now. She is now back in L.A. with her three dogs and life partner, Janaina, according to her Instagram. Maybe now that Jenna has been away from the show for quite some time, a possible guest appearance may be in the works someday.
