The future of Spider-Man in the movies may be exciting to consider, with the future so unclear… but it can’t hold a candle to the comics. Not with Spidey robbing a bank in the newest preview for his Amazing Spider-Man #38. And even stranger, it’s his greatest critic standing up for his integrity!

Things have actually been turning around for Spider-Man, getting the chance to work with his sister Teresa Parker, and preventing all manner of Dctor Doom-related international incidents. Even his most iconic adversary J. Jonah Jameson has changed his tune, being forced to see that Spider-Man is actually trying to make the world better, not worse (getting attacked by Carnage will do that to a guy). But their fates have aligned perfectly in the newest preview for Amazing Spider-Man #38. Because now that Jameson is done trying to claim Spider-Man is a criminal, a crook, or a menace… the webslinger is caught robbing a bank.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The Peter Parker maintains that there is a reason for his robbery, but fans will want to see this scene — and J. Jonah Jameson giving Spidey the benefit of the doubt — for themselves. Check out the official preview pages below:

Here’s hoping that Jameson’s commitment to pursuing the truth doesn’t end up sinking his new blog with Norah Roberts. It’s possible he actually will end up getting an incredible story by pursuing it on foot, rather than embracing clickbait headlines before they were even a thing (Norah’s own words). Sadly the preview doesn’t offer a glimpse of J. Jonah Jameson’s new podcast, meaning fans will have to wait until the full issue is released to compare this comic show to the MCU version of Jameson’s news program. Especially considering his first guest… is Spider-Man himself! Read on below for the full plot synopsis and credits:

  • J. Jonah Jameson kicks off his new life as a podcast host and his first guest? SPIDER-MAN! JJJ and Spidey have been on pretty good terms for a while now, so it seems fitting that JJJ needs to sabotage it and put the entire city in danger, right? Don’t miss “My Podcast with Jonah”!
