Spider-Man Is Proud To Call Miles Morales His Brother

Miles Morales and Peter Parker have always shared a special friendship, but when a group of sibling villains attack the newer web-slinger and call him out for not having any brothers to help, the original Spider-Man reminds them he does. In new previews for Miles’ own Clone Saga, Peter is there for his brother when he needs him the most.

Miles and Peter will always be connected, as the Ultimate Spider-Man became the new hero in the universe following the death of his version of Peter Parker. After meeting Earth-616 Peter Parker, Miles would eventually becomes the second Spider-Man in main continuity. The two have shared a wholesome relationship over the years, which was illustrated in 2018’s Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, where the alternate version of Peter Parker helped train Miles in becoming a hero. In the comics, they have a similar friendship, as Peter has become a mentor and ally to Miles and has continually encouraged him and offered support throughout their many adventures.

Miles Morales has had a rough go of things in his recent ongoing series from Saladin Ahmed, Carmen Carnero, David Curiel, and VC’s Cory Petit. He was nearly killed by the villainous Assessor, still struggles with the loss of his Uncle Aaron, and most recently, has watched as an imposter was pinning crimes on him. Spider-Man most recently discovered the culprit is a trio of aliens who have taken on his appearance. In his own version of The Clone Saga, Miles comes face-to-face with the dangerous trio in previews for Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26.

Miles’ attempts to reasons with the aliens doesn’t go well, as he gets punched in the face when trying to gather their attention. The monsters are beating Spider-Man on the ground and when they tell him that there’s three of them and he has no brothers, Peter Parker arrives on the scene and tells them that they are wrong.

While Miles doesn’t have an actual biological brother (he does have a sister who’s a toddler), Peter has become a part of his family, as he’s a trusted and important person in his life. When he’s struggling with Spider-Man-related duties or needs advice from someone who’s got more experience in the field than him, Miles Morales can turn to Peter when needed. The pair have a really great relationship. Peter Parker isn’t going to let his fellow Spider-Man get defeated by a bunch of knock-off versions of his friend – so he’s more than willing to join the fight and help his brother during his own Clone Saga. Miles Morales: Spider-Man #26 is in stores next week.
