The Star Wars animated shows have provided fans not only with some of the franchise’s greatest stories of all time but with some of the best characters. Through The Clone WarsRebels, The Bad Batch, and then less consumed shows like Forces Of Destiny and Resistance, fans have had established characters built upon and original characters introduced.

With the constant expansion of the franchise, a lot of animated characters are in live-action. However, there are some who have not made it there yet but would be an amazing fit.

10 The Nightsisters (& Mother Talzin & Asajj Ventress)

Dathomir has given fans some of the franchise’s coolest villains and characters in the likes of Maul, Asajj Ventress, Savage Opress, Mother Talzin, and Merrin. Still, none of them have appeared in live-action yet other than the former apprentice of Darth Sidious.

The Nightsisters would be fantastic in live-action. Merrin and Jedi: Fallen Order proved there are stories to be had with the Nightsisters beyond The Clone Wars. It is unlikely fans will ever see a live-action Ventress or Talzin, but if an opportunity arose to make it happen, to set a show or movie while they were alive, audiences would love to see them again.

9 Hondo Ohnaka

Hondo Ohnaka is undoubtedly one of the most entertaining characters to pop up in the canon, with recurring roles in both The Clone Wars and Rebels, often forming hilarious dynamics with the likes of Obi-Wan and Ezra.

Hondo has a place at Galaxy’s Edge, but he would be amazing to see in live-action. He lives for a long while, so there is definitely space to fit him into a show or movie. Whether he makes a cameo in a show like the Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, or even the upcoming Andor series, he would be sure to be a welcome sight for fans.

8 The Inquisitorius

Thus far, the Inquisitorius have had roles in Rebels, Jedi: Fallen Order, and the comics, but they are tailor-made for live-action, a show, or even movie set between the end of The Clone Wars.

Luckily this looks like it will be a reality with an Inquisitor highly rumored to be appearing in the long-awaited Obi-Wan series. This will unlikely be one of the known Inquisitors, which is for the best. Even if this does not come to fruition, the Inquisitors, with their menace and skill, deserve some time out of animation.

7 Barriss Offee

Barriss Offee is a frustrating character. She is great throughout The Clone Wars with a clear, simple, and effective arc, but she has yet to resurface on canon.

The wide belief is she became an Inquisitor after the Clone Wars, a theory that makes complete sense. However, it is a theory that has yet to be confirmed, and whether it is true or not does stop fans from wanting to see her pop up in canon and impress as she did so much throughout The Clone Wars.

6 Mitth’raw’nuruodo

Fans of Legends and canon alike agree that Grand Admiral Thrawn is a character who simply needs to appear on the big screen or silver screen in live-action someday. He is a phenomenal potential antagonist for wherever Lucasfilm wants to put him.

Some criticize his portrayal in Rebels, but Lars Mikkelsen would bring a fantastic presence to the character in live-action. This is another character who is likely to appear sooner rather than later, with Thrawn looking to be the main antagonist of the Ahsoka series. A pretty perfect choice.

5 Captain Rex

Captain Rex has actually appeared in live-action, with him seemingly being the bearded rebel soldier on Endor in Return of the Jedi. However, this is not totally official, and even if it was, fans still want to see Rex get a proper live-action role.

Whether it be in the Ahsoka or Obi-Wan series, or Andor or any other show or movie, Rex is the most popular clone trooper there is and a terrific character who deserves the spotlight. Some will worry about him being too prominent in canon, but a character of his quality deserves at least a little live-action exposure.

4 Quinlan Vos

Similar to the likes of Barriss Offee, Quinlan Vos’ fate after the Clone Wars is unknown. He has seemingly survived Order 66, but fans do not know how, nor do they know what he did after the war.

Vos is a great Jedi and a pretty fascinating character. Of all the Jedi in the Clone Wars era, he seems to be the one that would morph into a new life and blend into the Galaxy best and could easily find himself tied up with criminals and mercenaries. As a survivor, he would be on Vader and the Inquisitorius’ radar, which would make for some great content.

3 Omega (& Clone Force 99)

In such a short time, Omega, alongside the other members of Clone Force 99, has become some of the most popular and great characters in Star Wars animation.

Their possible appearances in live-action are conditional on the group not dying in the rest of The Bad Batch’s run, but it seems unlikely for Omega to meet her end in only two seasons of the show. Seeing a grown-up Omega perhaps meeting Ahsoka or being with Rex or in and amongst the rebellion, just wherever Omega’s story leads her it would be great to see out of animation.

2 Cad Bane

Now that The Bad Batch has confirmed the long theorized survival of Cad Bane, it is a must that fans get more of the legendary bounty hunter in canon, including some time to shine in live-action.

Cad Bane could fit in anywhere. A show, a movie, wherever, if he is hired to do a job, he immediately becomes a threat to the protagonists making him so easy to slot into any piece of content just like he did in The Bad Batch. On top of that, he may be the most badass bounty hunter in Star Wars who does not have an adorable Grogu by his side, making him a must-see for all fans.

1 The Ghost Crew

Star Wars: Rebels introduced fans to some of the best characters in all of Star Wars in the form of the Ghost Crew, and it would be a joy to see any of them transition into live-action.

Ezra and Sabine are shoo-ins for live-action, both being likely to appear in the Ahsoka show. However, the rest also deserve their time in live-action. Of course, fitting Kanan in would be hard given his death, but maybe he pops up in early-Empire content like he did The Bad Batch. Zeb could very well join Sabine and Ahsoka, and so too could Hera, who fans are desperate to see in live-action as a badass pilot and as a character who could help bridge the gap between the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy.
