Star Wars: 10 Hilariously Incorrect Memes That Are Too Funny

The Star Wars universe can be constantly intertwined with other fantasy-style movies whether that is through fandom or just to have fun on the internet. It’s no secret that Star Wars memes are some of the most timeless and iconic on the internet, but sometimes the context of the memes is so inaccurate it makes them even funnier.

The books, whether they’re canon or legends, the TV shows, and the movies are all fair game when it comes to memes, and with all of that content to pick from, it’s no surprise there are incorrect ones.

10 1000 Degrees

Hilarious for obvious reasons, the salesman quip, and the Edna aspect both make this meme funny on their own. But when people think about Edna Mode being in the Star Wars universe, it gets even funnier. She would not have been okay with the number of capes.

This meme is almost correct considering Anakin does survive, but he wouldn’t have without Emporer Palpatine’s intervention. So while, yes he does withstand 1000 degrees in the end, it isn’t because Edna Mode made him a cool super suit to do it.

9 Shaggy-Wan Kenobi

Aside from the obvious hilarity that is “General Sha’a Gi,” General Grievous doesn’t say, “That’s impossible. I killed you!” to Obi-Wan in the real rendition.

This meme keeps going with the dialogue, but to think of Shaggy in the Star Wars movies means Scooby and the gang must also be there solving galactic mysteries.

8 JarJar Is Gollum

Jar Jar Binks is notoriously known as the clumsy Gungan side character of the prequel trilogy and some could say that Dobby and Gollum are also clumsy and most definitely side characters.

But if Gollum were in the Star Wars universe he would play more of a creepy creature on Dagobah style role and Dobby would provide oddly-timed advice before disappearing; Jar Jar just wants to stick around with his friends and help his people.

7 Stormtrooper Species

One of the major real-world influences of Star Wars is that the Empire and Stormtroopers are based on the idea of the supremacy of the human species over the wide diversity of aliens in the galaxy.

The fact that this meme thinks it did something by saying “oh this is why stormtroopers miss” when in fact stormtroopers, especially in The Empire era, are all human is what makes it even funnier. Yes, maybe requiring them to all shoot left-handed threw some people off, but their inaccurate blast points are probably because they’re just bad shots and the bad people of the movies.

6 Hobbits On Mustafar

The Hobbits from The Lord of the Rings franchise and subsequently, The Hobbit movies, get into many-a-spill when adventure becomes the “norm” for them. The meme based on their unfortunate situation on Mt. Doom was still a better outcome than Anakin’s fate on Mustafar.

The difference here is not just that Sam and Frodo were not on Mustafar during Obi-Wan Kenobi’s and Anakin Skywalker’s iconic battle, but they also survived the heat without becoming mostly robotic… unlike Anakin.

5 Han Solo Gets Beamed Up

Han Solo and Jack Sparrow have arrogance in common, but they also have the wherewithal to get out of sticky situations whether that is with or without the help of their friends.

Unfortunately for Han, he doesn’t have a “Spocky” to beam him up or a pirate ship to steal back but he’s probably fine sitting in the captain’s seat of the Millennium Falcon instead.

4 The Thing In Place Of Chewbacca

“The Thing” makes this a funny meme on its own but it really peaks in hilarity when viewers think about what came next in A New Hope. 

Imagining Ben Grimm trying to jump through the tiny blaster hole in the trash compactor vent is a funny image on its own. It’s a miracle Chewbacca even made it through and his saving grace was that he isn’t as wide as The Thing.

3 Dating Advice

Besides the fact that at this point in the saga, Han and Leia have not solidified their relationship, Luke has only ever looked at Leia in a romantic manner to this point, before they found out they were siblings.

So if Luke really were to ask Han for dating advice, Han’s answer would definitely be more snarky than this and he would ask later if Luke was asking about Leia.

2 Always You Three

Professor McGonagall would 100% be a Master on the Jedi Council if she were in Star Wars. It is always Obi-Wan, Anakin, and Padmé that get into trouble and end up saving the day just like the Harry Potter trio.

The funniest part of this meme is that if it wasn’t always these three the movies wouldn’t make any sense.

The scientific argument about the differences between a parsec and a light year and a meter is timeless in sci-fi fandoms.

This meme seems to think that one meter would even make sense to anyone in Star Wars when in fact in the real world they’re both astronomical measurements based on time, distance, and movements in space. Both are just units of distance to the other.
