One of the most noteworthy aspects of the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer was the reveal that the Inquisitorius would make their live-action debut in Star Wars. Fans of Star Wars: Rebels, Jedi: Fallen Order, and the comics are well aware of the villains already and have met all of the Jedi hunters, who are trained by Darth Vader to hunt Jedi survivors throughout the Galaxy.

They look to be the main antagonists of the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and it will be interesting to see if the Inquisitors in the show can live up to any of the other great members of the order that those who love Star Wars have met thus far.

10 Honorable Mentions – The Third Sister & Unnamed Inquisitor

In the Obi-Wan Kenobi teaser trailer, one thing that was revealed was that there are four Inquisitors hunting surviving Jedi in the Galaxy, two of which many are already acquainted with, and two new characters: Reva, A.K.A. the Third Sister, and an unnamed Inquisitor.

Reva especially looks to be a badass addition to the Inquisitorius history, and it will be intriguing to see if she is, in fact, the show’s central antagonist opposing Obi-Wan and if she can reach the heights of the other Inquisitors.

9 Unnamed Inquisitors

Despite being present in the comics, there are two Inquisitors who have gone unnamed thus far in canon, a Twi’lek and another individual, both of whom have a role in Darth Vader 19 and Darth Vader 20 from 2017.

Two standout aspects of these Inquisitors go hand in hand, those being their relationship with one another and how Vader murders them for having such a connection. They act as a means to further showcase Vader’s ruthlessness and his immediate weeding out of perceived weakness within the Empire and the Inquisitorius.

8 Tenth Brother

The Tenth Brother is not the most notable of the Inquisitorius but, like the rest of them, was once a Jedi and, in fact, has an interesting history as a Force user, once attempting to kill Mace Windu.

As the Jedi Prosset Dibs, he became disillusioned by the Jedi role in the Clone Wars and, so, betrayed the Order. His history as a Jedi was detailed in the Jedi of the Republic – Mace Windu comic run before his time as an Inquisitor (which came to an end at the hands of Purge Troopers being mind-controlled by a surviving Jedi Padawan) got shown in a few issues of the 2017 Darth Vader comic.

7 Eighth Brother

Those Inquisitors who have appeared on-screen in some form definitely have an advantage over most who solely appear in literary content, purely down to their purpose and toughness being more on display for wider audiences.

That is what puts the Eight Inquisitor over others who are not so fleshed out in the comics. He himself is not massively fleshed out, but appearing in both the comics and in Rebels during his hunt of Maul makes him a more memorable and overall better character, even if he is no trailblazing villain by any means.

6 Ninth Sister

As far as characters in the phenomenal Jedi: Fallen Order go, the Ninth Sister is far from the best. Relatively one-dimensional with no real emotional or narrative hook beyond her presence and badassery, she does not reach the levels of others in the game.

As an Inquisitor, though, there is no doubt that she has elements to love, namely her aforementioned presence, on top of being a tough and frustrating boss fight for many players. The awesomeness of the Ninth Sister is perhaps better examined in the comics, as she is overshadowed in Fallen Order by her fellow members of the Inquisitorius.

5 Sixth Brother

The Sixth Brother is someone who has yet to be seen on-screen, but he is a hugely important Inquisitor in the life of fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano, who kills him.

Ahsoka’s now-iconic white lightsabers come from the Sixth Brother, with Ahsoka having purified the kyber crystals of his lightsaber following his death. Like most Inquisitors, he was a fallen Jedi who had a pretty unnerving design and skill as a Jedi hunter, the latter of which made him a dangerous presence.

4 Fifth Brother

Another of the four members of the Inquisitorius who was confirmed to be in the Obi-Wan series thanks to the trailer is the Fifth Brother, who made his debut in season 2 of Rebels as that season’s secondary villain under Vader and alongside another Inquisitor.

With his debuting in live-action, there is no doubt that the Fifth Brother will up his estimation in many people’s eyes and become a beloved Inquisitor. He is hardly the most interesting of villains, but he is an intimidating sight, and fans are excited to see more of his skill in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

3 Seventh Sister

The other secondary antagonist in Rebels’ second season is the Seventh Sister, who many may not know is voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar (who is married to Kanan voice-actor Freddie Prinze Jr.), with the duo of her and the Fifth Brother causing many issues for the Spectres and Ahsoka Tano before their deaths at the hands of Maul.

The Seventh Sister undoubtedly has more personality than her ‘brother,’ although equally as little is known about her time as a part of the Jedi Order/a Force user prior to the Empire. She would be an excellent addition to any show – live-action or animated – set in the period of the Empire.

2 The Grand Inquisitor

He may not be the most powerful Star Wars villain, but The Grand Inquisitor is one of the best and most underrated animated Star Wars antagonists out there, being one of the best and most vital aspects of Rebels’ first season.

Despite his controversial look, he is set to improve his legacy in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series as the fourth Inquisitor seen in the trailer. Once a Jedi Temple Guard, the Grand Inquisitor arguably has the richest history of all the Inquisitorius and is a fittingly skillful and vicious leader for the group of Jedi hunters.

1 Second Sister

The Second Sister, also known as Trilla Suduri, is the central antagonist of Jedi: Fallen Order and a unique Inquisitor in that she has an emotional connection for players, being sympathetic as they find out more about her.

Her past with Cere Junda, as well as her merciless death at the hands of Vader, are two highlights of the game, with the Second Sister being arguably the best canon video game character players have met thus far. She has scarcely appeared outside of Jedi: Fallen Order-related content, so seeing her pop up down the line in comics, novels, or even shows would be incredible.
