To many Star Wars fans, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the best video game the franchise has produced since its exclusive gaming rights were given to EA. A significant reason that it is one of the greatest Star Wars games ever made to many fans is its characters. The main characters get the fans emotionally invested in the story and have gotten players excited for its inevitable sequel.

From the crew of the Mantis to the central villains encountered throughout the journey, Fallen Order offers some of the best Star Wars canon video game characters out there. And thankfully, most of their stories are not over.

10 Ninth Sister

The Ninth Sister of the five on-screen Inquisitors that fans have met is undoubtedly the weakest. Not in stature or strength – she is an intimidating presence – but just in the development and depth character, the Ninth sister is weak.

While the character was severely underdeveloped, she managed to pose a threat to Cal and was very well designed. Her battle with Cal on Kashyyyk and her apparent survival at the end of the game were well done and opened the door for her return in future sequels.

9 Darth Vader

When Darth Vader makes an appearance in a piece of Star Wars content, the odds are he will be a highlight. That is the case for Fallen Order, with Vader impressing in his one part of the game, even if people do start to think he appears too much.

Running from and fending off Vader is one of the most exciting parts of the game, and on top of that, fans get to see a lot of Vader’s ruthlessness when he kills Trilla for her failure as a part of the Inquisitorius. His introduction was extremely well done, and it was a typical goosebump-inducing appearance from one of Star Wars’ scariest villains.

8 Jaro Tapal

Jaro Tapal was the Jedi Master of Cal Kestis when he was training as a member of the Jedi Order at the time of the Republic, and he appears exclusively through flashbacks throughout the game. Despite his lack of presence in the contemporary story, he’s a fantastically developed and complex character.

Tapal was wise, strong, disciplined, and had a sheer presence that towered over Cal as one of the few Lasats that fans have ever met. His death is genuinely emotional, with him sacrificing himself so that his Padawan Cal can survive during Order 66, a twist that definitely hits hard since the event always hurts to see, no matter how many different perspectives fans see it through.

7 Greez Dritus

The pilot of the Mantis and one of the central protagonists of the game is Greez Dritus, a character who warms up more to Cal and his journey as the game goes on, and a character who fans begin to like more and more just the same.

Hesitant to put himself in danger despite his status as a gambler, Dritus is the source of a lot of comic relief throughout the game through his interactions with Cal and Cere, as well as his fear of Merrin. The Latero is sure to become more popular as sequels to the game come out.

6 Taron Malicos

A fallen Jedi residing on Dathomir, using the dark side of the Force to control the Nightbrothers and Nightsisters, Taron Malicos is one of Fallen Order’s antagonists, and a great one at that.

Malicos is not revealed to be a villain until later, initially posing as an old wanderer. But, he attempts to convert Cal to the dark side twice, and when he is revealed as a dark side Force user who lies and manipulates the people on Dathomir, Cal and the player undergo one of the most challenging boss battles of the game, where he is killed with the help of Merrin.

5 Cere Junda

Cere Junda ends up being one of the most interesting characters in Jedi: Fallen Order as a former Jedi who cut herself off from the Force and has a storied history with Trilla.

Throughout the game, fans find out more and more about Cere, and she gets better and better as ar result. She gives sage wisdom to Cal, is incredibly likable, and is pretty badass when she wants to be. Her role in nurturing Cal as a Jedi in the future will be fantastic to watch.

4 Cal Kestis

Cal got a lot of early criticism for being a pretty bland, one-dimensional Star Wars protagonist who did not offer much complexity or depth. As the player gets further into the game, though, it gets easier to invest in Cal.

A lot of that is admittedly down to the help of other characters, such as through his flashbacks with Jaro Tapal, his deep interactions with Cere, and his blossoming relationship with Merrin. Cal does offer a lot on his own, but it will likely be when the sequels are released that Cal shoots up to the top of the list of the best Star Wars video game characters.

3 BD-1

The resident loveable droid of Fallen Order is BD-1, an adorable BD droid who once belonged to Eno Cordova and later found himself accompanying Cal Kestis in his journey through the Galaxy.

B-1 is great for Star Wars nerds, because he is the means by which players get to analyze relics and various aspects of the different planets. On top of that, he is a loving and loyal friend who improves the game massively with his presence, particularly during long spells of gameplay with Cal.

2 Merrin

Merrin, a Dathomirian Nightsister, was a victim of manipulation and deception from Malicos and a character with a genuinely tragic past that led her to become so popular amongst players of the game.

As all Dathomir and Nightsister-related things usually are, Merrin’s design is exceptional, but she is far more than that. She offers a lot of emotional depth and is fantastic whenever she appears in the game. Perhaps the best part about the character is the fact her story and her journey with Cal is not over; she joined the crew of the Mantis and she looks set to be a significant part of the future Star Wars games.

1 Trilla Suduri

As the Second Sister, Trilla Suduri is a fantastic villain for Fallen Order and would have been undoubtedly one of the best characters. As fas get to know her history as Trilla, though, she becomes so much better.

She was another brilliantly designed part of the Inquisitorius and is also performed spectacularly. A former Jedi under the tutelage of Cere, Trilla was supremely intelligent and skilled, with so many fantastic interactions with the heroes throughout the game. Her death at the hands of Vader was tragic and ruthless, and it is a shame she will not be around for future games.
