A new piece of Loki fan art showcases The God of Mischief’s romance with Sylvie. When Loki was first announced, people didn’t know what to expect. The series ended up focusing on the alternate Loki that escaped during the Avengers’ time heist in Avengers: Endgame. What Disney ended up delivering was one of the most unique additions to the MCU and was a key piece of the puzzle for Phase 4’s multiverse storyline.

After appearing under a cloak in the first episode of Loki, Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie was fully revealed at the end of episode 2. Sylvie was determined to take down the TVA by any means necessary to give people free will and to give Variants like her a second chance. Loki quickly teamed up with her to try to meet the Time Keepers, but over the course of the six episodes, Loki grew feelings for his companion. Just as it looked like Sylvie was going to reciprocate Loki’s feelings, she kissed him and then shoved him into an alternate timeline where Morbius doesn’t recognize him.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

It was a heartbreaking scene to watch after seeing the characters bond, and digital artist elilusionista.cl has captured the moment in a new piece of art. Sylvie and Loki embrace each other front and center, and the art also shows them fighting and He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) with his advanced TemPad. Check out the artist’s original post below:

Episode 5, “Journey Into Mystery,” featured a slew of Loki variants, most notably Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, and Alligator Loki. However, Sylvie got the most screen time and the most character development. Since Sylvie had been on the run from the TVA since a young age, it was incredibly emotional when it was revealed that the TVA may actually be necessary. Over his past few appearances in the MCU, Loki was seen more and more as a hero rather than a villain, and Sylvie’s role really nailed that point home. Loki has come a long way since he led the Chitauri invasion in New York, and his interactions with Sylvie really allowed audiences to see the true Loki underneath his tough exterior.

Even though Loki and Sylvie didn’t form a closer relationship, the good thing is that Loki season 2 is officially happening. There isn’t much known about the story of season 2 just yet, but it’s highly likely Sylvie and Loki will be reunited at some point. Sylvie’s actions directly impact the larger story of the MCU’s Phase 4, so there should still be plenty of time to see Sylvie and Loki rekindle their relationship. After all, with there being so many alternate timelines, Sylvie and Loki are likely together in at least one universe.
