The new trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League reveals that almost all of the members of the Justice League have turned evil, but Wonder Woman may be the exception. There’s a lot to digest in the Suicide Squad game’s action-packed trailer, but it appears Wonder Woman is the only hero Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League confirms hasn’t lost the plot.

The new Suicide Squad game trailer tees up the story and sees the Suicide Squad going to Metropolis to stop the Justice League. Brainiac has come to Earth and corrupted the minds of some of the planet’s greatest heroes, making for a pretty unstoppable team of villains. That said, the new trailer seems to suggest Wonder Woman has managed to avoid Brainiac’s brainwashing and will be actively fighting the Justice League herself.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Throughout Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s new trailer there are very brief glimpses of Wonder Woman. Interestingly, she’s the only hero that the audience doesn’t get a really good look at. It’s possible Rocksteady is trying to hide her true role as much as possible while still letting players know Wonder Woman is in the Suicide Squad game, but she doesn’t seem to be out to wreak havoc. Even though the likes of The Flash and Superman have turned evil in Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman is still slaying Brainiac’s alien goons.

Is Wonder Woman Good In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?

Wonder Woman’s blade can be seen impaling one of the giant monsters in the Suicide Squad game trailer, but right as the camera is about to properly show her it cuts away to a different scene. If Wonder Woman was working with Brainiac in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it’s rather unlikely she’d be actively fighting his henchmen. Other brief shots show her using her gauntlets to deflect bullets, and the trailer is edited to make it look like she’s being shot by members of the Suicide Squad, but it’s possible Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Wonder Woman is defending herself from some other evil force. It’s also possible that it is actually the Suicide Squad – since they know the other Justice League members are evil, they may assume Wonder Woman is evil as well.

Players already knew Superman is a villain in Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman is seen in an incredibly intense brawl with the Man of Steel. The brief glimpses viewers get at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Wonder Woman also show that her eyes are not glowing and her skin isn’t blackened like the other members of the Justice League. Whether or not Wonder Woman was with the rest of the Justice League when they became brainwashed by Brainiac is unknown, but there are other ways she could’ve avoided being corrupted.

Wonder Woman’s Lasso of Truth can bypass spells, brainwashing, and other things, so it’s possible she somehow used it on herself to avoid becoming evil and is now trying to do the same to characters like Superman. There’s no telling if Wonder Woman will work directly with the Suicide Squad, but she doesn’t appear to be trying to kill them herself, and will likely inadvertently help them one way or another.
