Summer House Winter Charm: Andy Cohen Calls Out Bravo For New Show Name

It seems Andy Cohen isn’t fond of the new Summer House and Southern Charm crossover series name Summer House Winter Charm. Rumors of the crossover series began to circulate on the internet earlier in 2021 after Austen Kroll and Craig Conover from Southern Charm teased the new series on social media. The reality stars revealed that they were both in Vermont, but they didn’t divulge too much information beyond that.

Summer House joined the Bravo lineup in 2017, and the show follows a group of nine friends who share a summer house in Montauk or the Hamptons during the summer weekends as a way to escape their nine-to-five jobs. In turn, Southern Charm is a show that focused on the professional and personal lives of certain affluent people in Charleston, South Carolina. The series originally focused on Thomas Ravenel, Shep Rose, Cameran Eubanks, and Craig Conover, but Southern Charm has since expanded beyond the four central cast members.

During an interview with Austen Kroll and Craig Conover, Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen revealed his true feelings about the new crossover name for Summer House Winter Charm. The former boyfriend of Madison LeCroy asked Andy what he thought of the name, and the WWHL host did not hold back on his opinions. “I never say anything publicly against Bravo, but I actually saw the name and I’ve been meaning to call two people at Bravo to say, ‘What are you thinking?’” Cohen shared. “It actually is a terr-, it is an aggressively… It’s not good,” he remarked. Despite the unremarkable name, Craig believes that the fans and Andy will love it over time. The father of one understands Craig’s point of view as he recently finished watching the whole season.

Austen and Craig are the only two Southern Charm cast members featured in the new series. As for Summer House, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Ciara Miller, Luke Gulbranson, Paige DeSorbo, and Lindsay Hubbard have also tagged along for the new adventure. A few new faces will be a part of the house as well, some of which were featured in the teaser Bravo aired last month. In the clip, the cast was in the middle of a tug-of-war while dressed as Vikings with their faces covered in war paint. While the fresh faces have yet to be identified, some drama has already made its rounds in the tabloids. Rumors of a hookup between Austen and Ciara, as well as Paige and Craig, have already been circulating on the internet.

While there is no premiere date for Summer House Winter Charm, the series is expected to air on Bravo sometime this fall. Summer House just finished airing its explosive two-part reunion, whereas Southern Charm season 8 has yet to get a premiere date.
