Warning! Spoiler for Superman: Son of Kal-El #6

Time and time again, Lois Lane has proven she’s a hero in her own right and doesn’t need Superman to prove it. In a new preview of Superman: Son of Kal-El #6, Batman informs Lois the recent attack on Kent farm means her home also isn’t safe and that she will need to find shelter somewhere hidden alongside Clark’s parents. Lois tells the Dark Knight she isn’t going anywhere, despite Superman being far off-planet.

Lois Lane has been part of Superman’s adventures since his first appearance in Action Comics #1 by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The award-winning journalist was a fellow reporter at the Daily Planet, where she would meet Clark Kent. Clark and Lois eventually became romantically involved, setting the stage for one of the most iconic romances in pop culture. Despite having no powers, Lois has shown on multiple occasions to be fearless in the face of incredible danger and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty to help save the world or protect her family. Now, with Superman going to Warworld to stop Mongul and Jonathan Kent becoming the new Man of Steel, Lane is making it known she isn’t going to back down when she becomes one of the targets of a dangerous attack.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

In a brand new preview for Superman: Son of Kal-El #6 by Tom Taylor, John Timms, and Hi-Fi, a mysterious attacker is taking homeless youngsters from Bludhaven and taking them aboard a cargo ship. Meanwhile, Lois Lane receives a visit from Batman, asking the Dark Knight how an attack of Kent Farm was even possible, considering how heavily monitored it was. Batman reveals there was nothing out of the ordinary occurring, but a metahuman was weaponized in the attack. Batman tells Lois her home isn’t safe and that the Justice League will find her and the Kents shelter. Lois pushes back, telling the hero she’s not going anywhere, will find out who’s attacking her family, and that she’s not hiding.

The rest of the preview shows Jon Kent nervously meeting up with his boyfriend, Jay Nakamura.

It’s no surprise Lois Lane isn’t willing to let a mysterious attacker send her into hiding. Even without Superman’s protection, she wants to get to the bottom of who’s attacking her family and isn’t about to let them win by temporarily taking her off the board. Lois Lane is a fearless hero with or without Superman, and her latest interaction with Batman proves that once again. Superman: Son of Kal-El #6 is in comic book stores on Tuesday.
