Superstore has been one of NBC’s staple comedies for several years now. Audiences love to tune in week after week to see what kind of chaos the employees of Cloud 9 have to deal with, or in some cases, what kind of chaos they have caused. Unfortunately, the hit series is coming to an end this year after six successful seasons.

The news was a shock to many, especially since fans already went through heartbreak this season when America Ferrera, who plays lead Amy, departed the show. Many were hopeful that the show would continue without her, as several sitcoms have continued without their lead actor. However, it seems like NBC has decided that the show has reached its end. With seven episodes left, fans are hopeful that the writers will send off their beloved characters in happy and fitting ways.

10 Amy Returns In Some Capacity

America Ferrera was set to leave during the season five finale, but when production was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ferrera agreed to return for a handful of episodes in season six. While Amy stuck around to help Cloud 9 through the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, she did eventually move to California to work in the corporate offices.

Given that Amy was the lead character for five seasons, fans are hopeful that she will return when it’s time to say goodbye to the beloved show. Perhaps Amy won’t like California as much as she had hoped, or maybe she’ll be on official corporate business that leads her back to her old stomping ground.

9 COVID-19 Goes Away

With the COVID-19 pandemic going on in the real world putting employees at Targets and Walmarts on the front lines, it only seemed fitting that the employees of Cloud 9 would also have to deal with this global pandemic. And so when season six premiered, the employees were thrown into the world of the pandemic.

While the first few episodes were entertaining as the cast dealt with unruly customers while trying to come to terms with their new “hero” status, fans are growing a bit tired of the pandemic playing such a key role in the show. Not to mention, the show doesn’t quite stick to mask and social distancing standards when the employees are off the floor.

8 Amy And Jonah To Get Back Together

With the departure of America Ferrera came the break up of one of Superstore’s most beloved couples: Amy and Jonah. While Jonah was ready to pack up his life and follow his longtime girlfriend to California, Amy had cold feet, fearing that she was falling back into old patterns that caused her to be unhappy in a marriage for so long.

Now that the show is officially ending, fans are hopeful that Amy will return and that the writers will sort out the mess they have caused by breaking these two up. Hopefully, that happens. After all, these two have been through a lot, including a handful of love triangles over the years.

7 Cheyenne Turns Out To Be A Good Floor Supervisor

Cheyenne has been on quite the journey over the course of the six seasons that Superstore has been on the air. As the youngest member of the Cloud 9 team, Cheyenne is always bringing a youthful energy to the room. From getting engaged inside Cloud 9 and becoming a teen mom to working her way up to floor supervisor, Cheyenne’s journey has been a fan favorite.

While her promotion to floor supervisor was a shocking one, fans are hopeful that the writers allow Cheyenne to flourish in this role to show that she has learned a lot from her time at Cloud 9.

6 Dina And Garrett Reconcile

Dina and Garrett have had quite the emotional roller coaster over the past six seasons. The two started off as nothing more than co-workers who tolerated each other but eventually became a couple. These two might not have been as popular as Jonah and Amy, but they were a fan favorite. But then things went downhill when Garrett accidentally let all of Dina’s beloved birds free, causing a serious rift in their relationship.

Since that fateful day, Garrett and Dina have yet to truly reconcile. With only seven episodes left, fans are hopeful that the writers have a happy ending in store for these two who clearly still have feelings for each other.

5 Jonah Moves On From Cloud 9

When Jonah came to work at Cloud 9 in the pilot episode of Superstore, he had just left his MBA program and was looking to take some time off and figure out who he is. Flash forward six years and Jonah is now single while still working at the same job in the same position. After losing out on the floor supervisor position, Jonah has begun to question what his next move should be.

Jonah may be an integral member of the Cloud 9 family, but it’s definitely time for him to move up or move on. Fans are eager to see where Jonah ends up when the series ends.

4 Everyone To Apologize To Sandra For Berating Her For So Many Years

Over the years Sandra has gone from a background comic relief character to an important member of the Cloud 9 team. From a rivalry with Carol to getting married and adopting an adult child, Sandra has really started to flourish. And yet, several of her co-workers continue to treat her unfairly.

Sandra may not be perfect all the time, but no one at Cloud 9 is. It’s time for the other employees to own up to the mistreatment of Sandra over the years and welcome her into their little family.

3 Bo Makes More Appearances

Cheyenne’s husband Bo has made his fair share of appearances over the years. From proposing in the pilot episode to taking on a seasonal job at Cloud 9, Bo is certainly a familiar face. However, in recent seasons Bo’s appearances have dwindled, and fans only know things that Cheyenne mentions.

With the rumor that Cheyenne and Bo might be getting a spin-off, it only seems fitting that Bo start to make more appearances before Superstore goes off the air for good.

2 Cloud 9 Stays In Business

It’s no secret that Cloud 9 doesn’t always perform well. After years of getting buy, trying to unionize, and having to rebuild the store after a tornado destroys it, now the superstore is being plagued with the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the show has incorporated COVID into its sixth season, fans are fearful that COVID might claim the beloved superstore as its next victim.

Cloud 9 shutting down might not be the most hopeful way to the end series, but it could be quite fitting. For one, it would force the characters to move on from the superstore. It also might be a good way to bring Amy back, since she now works at the corporate offices. However, fans are hopeful that that won’t happen and Cloud 9 will continue serving its rowdy customers.

1 Matao Grows As A Character

Over the years the characters of Superstore have learned and grown a lot. However, a majority of Superstore fans have expressed their hatred for Mateo’s character, who has failed to grown much since the pilot season. Mateo has been through a lot, from a break up with the former corporate manager to being arrested by ICE and nearly deported. And yet, his attitude and actions have never changed.

Fans don’t want Mateo to go through a complete make-over, but they would like to see him take more accountability for his actions and start to positively engage with his Cloud 9 co-workers.
