Superstore: 10 Times Amy And Jonah Were Relationship Goals

Now that Superstore has come to an end, viewers can rest easy knowing that Amy and Jonah found their way back to each other. It was up in the air after America Ferrera’s departure from the show, but she returned to give fans of the pairing the ending they were hoping for. Not only did the two kiss and make-up, but a flash-forward revealed that they are doing wonderfully in a post-Cloud 9 world.

Amy and Jonah close out the series happily married, raising their children, and continuing to keep in touch with all of their old co-workers. As the show’s popularity continues to grow, it’s likely that Amy and Jonah will have a place in the sitcom hall of fame. Their relationship is one to strive for, and there are several moments that make them stand out above other sitcom couples.

10 They Spend Valentine’s Day Together

Before they were even a couple, Amy and Jonah end up spending Valentine’s Day together. Neither of them has a date planned, so they stay late at work to help clean up the decorations.

But Amy and Jonah have a tendency to make even the most mediocre tasks fun and it becomes a montage of them smashing each other with styrofoam hearts and ripping apart cardboard angels. It seemed safe to assume from their laughter it was the best Valentine’s Day either of them had had in a while.

9 Jonah Teaches Amy How To Golf

When Amy wants a raise, she and Jonah chase down the district manager on the golf course to plead Amy’s case. But Amy ends up driving their golf cart into Lori, and it becomes clear that a raise is off the table.

Amy and Jonah stick around that night drinking beer, laughing, and playing golf. Jonah teaches Amy the proper technique and she makes a hole in one. The two are having so much fun that Jonah forgets he has reservations with his girlfriend who is waiting at Cloud 9 for his return. Although fans did feel a wave of sympathy for Jonah’s girlfriend, they can’t deny that this wasn’t a pivotal moment in this relationship.

8 They Ditch Work To Play With Recalled Toys

Jonah is surprised to learn about Amy’s love of videogames, and when a new release is being sold at the store, they sneak through the tunnels of Cloud 9 to make sure Amy can reserve a copy. However, Jonah and Amy get sidetracked when they stumble upon a room full of recalled toys and decide to have some fun.

While the rest of the staff struggles to keep the video game fans at bay, Amy and Jonah mess around behind the scenes of the store. They don’t end up finding the stash of games, but afterward, Jonah bribes a child and gets Amy a copy.

7 They Have A Sidebar

After months of planning a union and a long day of negotiations, Jonah and Sandra make a deal with corporate on behalf of the employees. All the characters helped, but Amy and Jonah led the charge and decide to celebrate their victory by taking their own sidebar on the check-out counter.

Amy tells Jonah that everyone always sucks, except for him. The deal ends up falling through because Cloud 9 is bought by Zephra, but it was still a beautiful moment between the couple.

6 Jonah Stays At Cloud 9 To Be Around Amy

Jonah never sticks with anything, so it was odd for him to stay at a random retail store as long as he did. Amy had always wondered about Jonah’s decision to stay in St. Louis, but she didn’t fully understand why until the end of the series.

Jonah fell for Amy the moment he saw her in the pilot, and he continued to fall harder every day after that. He admits in the series finale that he stuck around for six years hoping he would have a chance with her.

5 They Sneak Into A Manager’s Conference

When Glenn and Dina can’t attend the manager’s conference, Glenn gives the tickets to Jonah and Amy. However, they are stopped at the door because they are not managers, but Jeff helps sneaks them in when he spots them in the hotel.

Amy and Jonah have the time of their lives and collect a countless number of giveaways. They drink together at the open bar, take couples photos, and try out some virtual reality headsets. It was nice to see them so carefree after years of pining after each other.

4 They Kiss During A Tornado

In one of the highest-rated episodes of the series, a tornado hits Cloud 9 and the employees are forced to take cover. Everyone spreads out around the store, and Amy and Jonah take shelter together in the pharmacy section. The store starts coming down, and, thinking they are about to die, they kiss.

Miraculously, the storm subsides, and everyone makes it out with only minor injuries. Jonah begins to think that Amy reciprocates his feelings, so it’s heartbreaking when he watches her reunite with her husband and daughter. However, every great couple has a life or death kiss.

3 Amy Tells Jonah He Changed Her Life

When Amy and Jonah first met, she was annoyed by Jonah’s optimism. He believed that life could be better than it was, and she knew from experience that it couldn’t. Amy told him that all of her days felt the same and nothing was ever going to change that.

In the series finale, Amy admits that she was wrong about what she said that day. Ever since Jonah started working at Cloud 9, Amy’s life became so much better than it was.

2 They Challenge Each Other To Dares

At the beginning of the series, Amy struggled to let loose. Her friendship with Jonah quickly remedied that, as he was all about having fun and looking on the bright side of things. Jonah convinces Amy to do a series of dares with him, and the two end up running around the store causing a commotion.

Amy dresses up in cloud costume, Jonah hides in the freezer, and they ride a canoe down the aisleways. It was the most fun viewers had ever seen Amy have, and it was a miracle they were able to pull everything off without getting fired.

1 Jonah Gives Amy A Moment Of Beauty

The stars on the ceiling of Cloud 9 started Amy and Jonah’s love story and brought it to a close. In the pilot, Jonah decides to give Amy a moment of beauty to prove to her that happiness can be found in the everyday. He decorates Cloud 9 with glow-in-the-dark stars, and Amy is left in awe when the lights go out and Jonah’s masterpiece is revealed.

To pay homage to this fan-favorite scene, Amy and Jonah’s final appearance shows them tucking their children into bed, with the same stars on the ceiling.
