Teen Mom 2: Inside Kailyn Lowry’s Domestic Violence Arrest

Things continue to get worse for Kailyn Lowry and her baby daddy Chris Lopez. It was recently revealed that the Teen Mom 2 star was arrested in September for a domestic violence attack against Chris. This comes after the two shaded each other over the summer while Kailyn was pregnant with their second child.

Kailyn and Chris keep the drama going even when the cameras aren’t rolling. The former couple has had a messy breakup since calling it quits last year. After Kailyn filed a protective order against Chris in 2019 over claims of physical abuse, she shocked fans when she announced her pregnancy back in February. Many were confused about how the two managed to hook back up amid all the turmoil that took place in their relationship. But, the fourth baby didn’t make things any better. During her pregnancy, Chris took to social media in July and let his followers know he could care less about Kailyn’s pregnancy. Prior to his harsh comments, Kailyn spoke of “betrayal” by someone many believed to be Chris.

While fans hoped the two could at least co-parent amicably, it appears that is not the case. Us Weekly obtained legal documents that an alleged domestic violence incident that occurred between the former couple on Sept. 4 in Delaware but Lowry wasn’t arrested until Sept. 26. According to the docs, an argument ensued between the two parents over Chris’ decision to get their 3-year-old son, Lux, a haircut. The two were exchanging custody of Lux when Kailyn allegedly started to hit Chris “several times with a closed fist” over Lux’s haircut. According to what Chris told police, Kailyn allegedly “started attacking him [and] punching him several times on the head and upper torso because she did not want the child’s hair cut.”

Chris claims he never hit her back and his sister had to pull Kailyn off from him. He says he called the police but never heard back until September 25. According to the police, when they spoke with Kailyn, she claimed the “dispute never became physical.” But, she was still arrested for offensive touching and released on her own recognizance without bail.

She reportedly has been ordered to not have any contact with Chris and was given an arraignment set for Jan. 21, 2021. Once word of her arrest made it to the press, Kailyn’s lawyer released a statement denying the allegations and confirming the reality star has custody of their two children, Lux, 3, and Creed, 2 months. She also shares son Isaac, 10, with ex Jo Rivera and son Lincoln, 6, with ex-husband Javi Marroquin.
