Teen Mom 2: Leah Messer’s BF Jaylan Mobley Surprises Her With New House

Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is moving into a new home after being surprised by her boyfriend, Jaylan Mobley. Leah has been a Teen Mom favorite since first appearing on 16 and Pregnant season 2, and fans have enjoyed watching Leah and her three children throughout the years: twins Aliannah “Ali” and Aleeah, now 12, and Adalynn “Addie,” 9. After short-lived marriages to Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert, Leah and Jaylan were first seen together in September 2020. According to Leah, the West Virginian first met Jaylan, a former NASA employee who serves in the Army, at an ESPN event. While Leah said nothing more about Jaylan at the time, rumors that Leah found a new man immediately began swirling.

Since becoming official last September, Leah and Jaylan have enjoyed a passionate and fast-moving relationship. The 25-year-old made his debut on Teen Mom 2 season 11 in March, with scenes showing Leah inviting Jaylan on a trip to Costa Rica; the mom of three also suggests that he finally meets her daughters. Since filming Teen Mom‘s newest season, Leah and Jaylan have become closer than ever, with Jaylan’s Instagram decorated with photos of himself, Leah, and the girls together. Between Leah gaining her real estate license sometime over the past few months and Jaylan planning to start his Ph.D. in the fall, the duo has made it clear that they are focused on their individual and shared goals.

While Leah has made it clear that she is not ready to get married to Jaylan just yet, the couple has taken another giant step in their relationship after Jaylan surprised the 29-year-old with a brand new home. Announcing the news in a joint Instagram post, Jaylan reveals that the move has made him a first-time homeowner, leaving him “so thankful and blessed and still speechless.” Praising Leah for selling her first house as a real estate agent, Jaylan gushes over his girlfriend by writing, “We deserve this! You deserve this!” Posing with giant smiles in front of their giant Charleston residence, Jaylan dedicates this accomplishment to the success and happiness he’s found since moving from Charlotte, North Carolina. “As a black young man from Charlotte, this is a dream come true,” Leah’s boyfriend writes. “WV has been a second home that’s been good to me since 2018… Degrees, Friendships, Opportunities, and now a Family!”

Jaylan and Leah aren’t the only ones excited about moving in together, as Leah shared a video of Ali, Aleeah, and Addie seeing their new home for the first time. With the girls chattering in the backseat, the three react to Jaylan’s surprise with shared feelings of shock and excitement. Wasting no time exploring all the rooms in their house, Instagram users were quick to congratulate the self-proclaimed family. MTV alum Nikkole Paulun, who also starred on 16 and Pregnant season 2, wrote, “This is so sweet omg,” while Leah’s sister Victoria commented, “I’m so happy for you all. But so sick of the happy crying I do when you post this [****].” Victoria isn’t the only one shedding happy tears either, as several others proclaimed that the video (and Jaylan’s relationship with the girls) reduced them to tears.

From growing up in small-town trailer parks to now sharing a giant house with Jaylan, Leah’s transformation over the years is one of tremendous growth and improvement.
