Teen Mom: Briana DeJesus’ Ex Javi Gonzalez Reveals Why They Broke Up

Javi Gonzalez, ex fiance of Teen Mom 2 star Briana DeJesus, is speaking out about their split. Though Javi was not featured much on the series, fans of the franchise were still following the relationship. Longtime viewers have seen that Briana was already not so lucky in love. And, as it turns out, this wasn’t meant to be her happily ever after either.

The former couple met through mutual friends and began dating in September 2020. In May 2021, Briana announced their engagement on social media. However, it wasn’t long before whispers started about trouble in paradise. Only a month later, in June, Briana and Javi’s social media activities lead to rumors and speculation of a possible split. Then on Thursday, the reality star confirmed things didn’t work out on her Instagram Stories. The following day, her ex answered some questions on his own IG stories. He also may have dropped some hints about what exactly went wrong.

Javi opened up about the split on his Instagram Stories on Friday. Especially telling stories were screenshot and posted by Teen Mom fan Instagram account Teen Mom Chatter. When someone asked “What happened between you and Briana?” he answered, “Different frequencies, different principles,” adding, “No hard feelings just not for me.” Another Instagram user followed up that question, asking why he lowered his frequency. The tattoo artist simply responded, “We do some wild s— sometimes.” In addition to answering question, Javi also shared a tweet that some took as shade towards his ex. The tweet read, “Your man ate today? How’s he feeling? What did his day consist of? Anything new? Oh, you don’t know? But you know whose pics he liked and followed. #Ooohyouchildish #SMH #SocialMediaHasBrainwashedSome#DifferenceBetweenGirlsAndWomen.”

The fan account captioned the post “#BrianaDejesus ex fiancé has entered the building. ‘No hard feelings’, just some subtle shade.” Commenters shared their two cents on what went wrong between the couple. Many were not surprised that the relationship didn’t work out. One commenter wrote, “He probably realized she’s childish and all into Kail and her drama.”

That comment refers to Briana’s headline-making legal battle with a Teen Mom 2 co-star. Kailyn Lowry filed a lawsuit against her castmate, suing Briana for defamation. In response, Briana’s legal team has stated that the lawsuit is “meritless.” Between that and this breakup, the MTV personality has a lot on her plate.
