Can you believe it’s been three years since Teen Wolf ended? Seems like it was only yesterday that we were sitting down and watching Scott and Stiles searched the woods for Laura Hale’s body. No one would have guessed that Stiles would end up Lydia and they certainly wouldn’t have believed Scott would be a better pack leader than Derek.

However, do you ever think back to certain episodes and realize that despite ending on a high note, there were some things the writers didn’t resolve? From the meaning of a wolf’s blue eyes to the revelation of Stiles’ first name, here are 5 subplots that are summed up perfectly (& 5 that weren’t).

10 Did: The meaning of a wolf’s blue eyes

One of the first questions the writers solved was the reason why some wolves had blue eyes. From the beginning, fans knew that yellow eyes meant they were an Omega/Beta and the red eyes were because they were an Alpha. However, no one knew why Derek and Jackson’s eyes were blue until season 3.

In the episode “Visionary,” Peter revealed to Stiles and Lydia that Derek had mercy-killed his high school girlfriend after she began to reject the bite. Since Paige was an innocent human life, his gold eyes had shifted to blue. This also explained why Jackson’s eyes were the same color since he took many innocent lives while he was a Kanima.

9 Didn’t: Where did Ms. Morell go?

In season 2 and 3, Ms. Morrell proved to be a key asset for the pack, helping them to solve their supernatural mysteries. Even though she was employed to be a counselor at the high school, it was soon revealed that she knew more about the occult than she let on.

Eventually, Marin was revealed to be the emissary of the Alpha Pack and later the newest counselor at Eichen House. While she was at the medical facility, she helped Malia adapt to the human world again, Meredith with her powers, and Stiles with his Nogitsune problem. However, where was she when Lydia was being tortured in season 5? Surely she would have put a stop to this so did she skip town without anyone knowing?

8 Did: Stiles’ first name

For years, fans wondered what Stiles’ real name was. It had been one of the running gags found throughout the series, with Coach Finstock, the doctors and F.B.I. agents all stumbling to pronounce it. However, the truth about his real name was revealed in season 6 when the pack was trying to locate Stiles after he was taken by the Ghost Riders.

In the episode “Blitzkrieg”, Sheriff Stilinski stated that Stiles’ real name was Mieczyslaw. The teen began to go by the name Stiles because he couldn’t pronounce it when he was little – the closest being “mischief”. This was also a nickname his mother adopted for him before she died.

7 Didn’t: Kira and the skinwalkers

One of the most disappointing elements about the show was the lack of closure the fans got over Kira’s storyline. At the end of season 5, Kira made a deal with the Skinwalkers to remain in New Mexico until she got control of her abilities again.

However, she didn’t make another appearance after this, leaving fans to believe that the kitsune was still training with the Skinwalkers. Fans were heavily disappointed with the abrupt end of Kira’s storylines, especially when the writers were beginning to explore the extent of her powers. The only solace Davis gave was saying she was off living her own adventure – which is too dismissive, to be honest.

6 Did: Identity of the Desert Wolf

One of the biggest mysteries in the show revolved around the identity of The Desert Wolf. Revealed by Peter to be Malia’s true mother, most of season 4 was spent trying to locate the elusive woman – with Braedan, Peter, and Stiles all on her trail.

Eventually, The Desert Wolf made a return to Beacon Hills to kill Malia and reclaim her powers. The assassin ends up having a showdown with Malia and Braedan, unsuccessfully taking down the pair as Malia ends up draining her of the rest of her power. It was a bit anti-climatic but at least there was some closure.

5 Didn’t: The Adrian Harris of it all

Does anyone ever question how and why Adrian Harris has ties to the storylines but doesn’t even have any clue about the supernatural? Fans can give the writers the benefit of the doubt with season 1 since he played a part in the Hale fire. However, season 2 and 3 saw Harris still heavily involved in storylines even though we knew nothing about him.

For instance, in season 2, Harris was believed to be the Kanima’s master when the viewer saw someone meet up with the creature in his car. Although it ended up being Matt, you can’t help but question why he didn’t realize his car was missing? In season 3, Harris was helping and eventually killed by the Darach. Again, we have to question how he got involved this time? There are so many questions that went unanswered.

4 Did: Why Meredith was the benefactor

Season 4 saw Scott and his pack trying to find out who the mysterious Benefactor was after the supernatural teens were placed on a Deadpool. As a result, an influx of assassins decided to come to Beacon Hills, with several of the town’s residents turning on each other for the cash.

It was soon revealed that Meredith was the one behind it all, picking up the idea after listening to the homicidal thoughts of a comatose Peter. He gives her the contacts of where to find the assassins and how to implement the plan. Meredith says she wanted to start afresh but soon realized her mistake and the extent of her actions. It was quite an entertaining season.

3 Didn’t: Allison’s phone is switched off

Ask any questions about what unresolved plot frustrated them the most and they will say when Allison’s phone was switched off. In the episode “Riddled”, Scott and the pack couldn’t get in touch with Allison after they found out that Stiles was missing. When Isaac finds her at home, she is surprised to find that her phone had been switched off, despite never doing so.

When she turns it on, she finds her phone filled with numerous messages and a few voicemails in Japanese. Although the meaning of the recordings was later revealed, the writers never explained why Allison’s phone had been switched off. Years later, fans still think about it.

2 Did: Parrish and the hound

Another big mystery in season 4 also revolved around the identity of Jordan Parrish. While it was predicted that Scott, Malia, Lydia, and Derek would all be on the list, many people were surprised to see Parrish’s name on there. The only clue we got of his abilities was that Parrish was immune to fire and has super strength.

However, in season 5 we discovered that Parrish was a Hellhound and became a pivotal figure in the plot. He was seen to have a supernatural connection with Lydia and the only person who could defeat the Beast of Gevaudan. Overall, it was nice to see Parrish’s character come full circle.

1 Didn’t: Allison’s nightmares

In season 3a, fans were left on a cliff-hanger after Scott, Stiles, and Allison sacrificed themselves to find the Nemeton. However, it came with some consequences as the three began to suffer from hallucinations and nightmares. While Scott began to worry about losing control and Stiles began to transform into the Nogitsune, Allison started to have visions of Kate being resurrected.

This could have been Davis foreshadowing Kate’s return, but it wasn’t fully explained what this meant to Allison. Allison’s condition also began to get worse when her abilities became affected by the ritual. Again, Allison seemed back to normal a couple of episodes later with no explanation as to how or why.
