Orny Adams, who played coach Bobby Finstock, celebrates his return for the Teen Wolf reunion movie in a new set video. One of the most popular teen/young-adult dramas is about to make its come back, but not in its original format. Based on the 1985 comedy/horror film, MTV reimagined Teen Wolf as a dark supernatural adventure following the adventures of Scott McCall, who becomes a werewolf and uses his powers to protect Beacon Hills. After finishing its run in 2017, Teen Wolf, which became one of MTV’s most successful shows, is already set for a reunion as a Paramount+ exclusive movie.

Teen Wolf: The Movie will be shepherded by the original showrunner Jeff Davis, who was part of the series from start to finish. The premise focuses on Scott and his friends a few years after the end of the MTV series as a terrifying evil strikes Beacon Hill, which brings all sorts of supernatural creatures out of the woodwork. It will be up to Scott to bring old and new allies together in order to stop this new threat. Tyler Posey, along with most of the original Teen Wolf cast members, are set to reprise their characters as filming has recently kicked off.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

One of the fan-favorites that is back for the Teen Wolf reunion film is coach Finstock, played by Adams, who starred as a recurring player throughout the show’s six-year run. As principal photography is underway, he took to TikTok to celebrate his return. Anyone who watched the series will appreciate the actor’s comedic reemergence, as Adams is already channeling the coach’s heated spirit, which can be seen at the link below:

While the majority of the Teen Wolf actors are reprising their roles, there are a few key players missing. Tyler Hoechlin, who portrayed Derek Hale, the Alpha who made Scott a werewolf, is currently not attached to the project due to his Superman & Lois commitments. The same thing goes for Derek’s uncle Peter, played by Ian Bohen, who is also not currently part of the production. However, both Hoechlin and Bohen have stated that they hope to be involved in some capacity. Dylan O’Brien, whose fame came from playing Stiles on Teen Wolf, is officially not returning for the revival, while Arden Cho turned down the offer to come back as Kira Yukimura.

As dark as Teen Wolf could get from time to time, coach Finstock was always one of the show’s ultimate comedic elements. Whether it be the coach having a screaming match with Stiles or passionately teaching his students, it’s fun to see that he will be back for the film in one way or another. Since most of the younger characters would be in the mid-20s by now, it will be intriguing to see what Adams’ character has been up to at the start of the Teen Wolf movie, which has yet to get a premiere date on Paramount+.
