Temptation Island star Evan Smith is filing a lawsuit against the USA Network and against season 1 showrunner Scott Jeffress. Evan rose to fame when he appeared on the first season of the USA Network’s reboot of Temptation Island, which aired in 2019. He went on the show with then-girlfriend Kaci Campbell. The couple was having some trouble committing to “the next step,” but they couldn’t exactly figure out why. As the season went on, however, Kaci started to outline some of her issues with Evan, such as dealing with his impulsiveness.

As Temptation Island season 1 went on, the fans watched as Evan Smith fell in love with one of the single girls, Morgan Lolar, and left his relationship with Kaci Campbell in the dust. It was very hard for Kaci to face that reality and accept the end of their relationship, but Evan never wavered when it came to his infatuation with Morgan. During their final bonfire, Evan told Kaci that things were over between them. In turn, Evan proposed to Morgan, and she accepted it. Alas, their engagement did not last very long, and Morgan has since spoken out against Evan several times.

Now, Evan Smith is taking his post-Temptation Island journey to a new level. During a recent Q&A session via Instagram Story, a fan asked if Evan would ever do another show like Temptation Island. As seen in the screenshot below, Evan replied with a shocking revelation: “Actually filing a lawsuit with [the USA Network] and the showrunner for my season [Scott Jeffress] so I doubt any networks will touch me after that.” It isn’t clear, specifically, what Evan would be suing the network for. One possibility is that he could be filing a lawsuit for something as general as defamation, but only Evan and his attorney could clarify what his accusations actually are.

Another unclear thing is why Evan would be filing a lawsuit two years after his Temptation Island season aired in 2019. Plenty of time has passed since everyone watched Evan on the show, and the network hasn’t said much about Evan since that first season aired. Recently, there have been a few things that Morgan Lolar said about Evan, but that doesn’t necessarily have much to do with the network or the season 1 showrunner, which are the two parties mentioned by Evan on Instagram.
