The season 3 couples have wrapped up their journeys on the show, and the USA Network is already reportedly working on Temptation Island season 4. The series has aired intermittently since 2001, but its latest version on the USA Network is proving to be a hit with fans. The response has apparently been so good that casting for season 4 is already underway. There isn’t much official information about season 4 yet, but the casting application gives away a few key details to give fans an idea of what next season will look like.

In every season of Temptation Island, four couples come onto the show with hopes that dating other people will somehow help keep their relationship intact. Some couples manage to grow closer as a result, while others predictably break up. Season 3 was similar, but not when it came to filming the actual show. Due to COVID-19 precautions, production on season 3 was put on hold for several months. But production eventually resumed and the filming of season 3 wrapped in October 2020.

There’s been no official word about the show being renewed as of this writing, but production on season 4 seems to be moving ahead anyway. The show’s website includes casting applications for couples and the island’s hot singles. The applications state that individuals “will experience a 4-week luxury vacation in a tropical paradise” if selected to go on the show. However, the application later specifies that applicants must be available for six weeks between the end of August and October 2021. The extra two weeks aren’t explained but could be part of a COVID-19 quarantine bubble.

The cast applications don’t reveal much more, but because they appear on the USA Network website, it seems clear that season 4 will be airing on the same network. Mark Walberg has been the host of Temptation Island since its inception, so barring any extenuating circumstances, he’ll presumably be hosting season 4 as well. Filming on season 4 will be wrapping up around the same time season 3 did last year, so next season will likely have its premiere in February 2022.

Any fans who are lamenting the end of season 3 can rest easy knowing that Temptation Island will indeed be back again next year. Not only will it be returning, but the show also will attempt to get get back on track for a regular schedule, unimpeded by COVID-19. On the other hand, it may be several more months before fans’ favorite tropical dating show returns with a whole new crop of couples and singles. With that said, at least the viewers know that it is coming.
