Temptation Island: What Happened To David & Kate After Season 2?

For three seasons now, Temptation Island has been a social experiment to see if long-term couples are able to fix their broken relationships by going on an island full of attractive singles. The show takes four couples who are having trouble in their relationship and separates them from one another. The idea is for both individuals to be tempted by the singles, and ultimately decide if their partners are their perfect matches. David Benavidez and Kate Griffith were one of the four couples from season two of Temptation Island. But did they manage to make it through the separation unscathed?

David and Kate had been together for three years when they came on the show. Kate, who is six years older than David and had been married before, was ready to get married again and start a family, while David was not at that point in his life. The two also had trust issues they were trying to overcome on Temptation Island, as they had both cheated on their previous partners. From the first episode, it seemed Kate was more invested in the relationship than David. In the beginning, Kate did not pursue any romantic relationships with the single men in the house, but David almost immediately started flirting with the single women. In one of the infamous bonfires, David’s threesome with two of the single women was shown to Kate. Fans guessed from the beginning that the couple would not make it off of Temptation Island together, and they were right.

At the final bonfire, David and Kate broke up, with Kate leaving the island alone and David leaving with one of the single women, Toneata. However, David and Toneata’s relationship did not last long. What shocked fans the most was that Kate actually took David back, and the pair dated for a while after the show aired. Even after the reunion episode, where more information emerged about David’s multiple hookups both on the show and afterward, Kate stuck by her man. Thankfully, their relationship didn’t turn into a lifelong romance. After trying to make things work for a while, the pair realized they wouldn’t be able to overcome all the negativity and obstacles that developed in their relationship after their time on Temptation Island.

Eventually, David and Kate broke up for good. Since then, David has spent time enjoying the single life and reconnecting with some of the guys from Temptation Island. He rarely posts on his private Instagram, so there’s very little information about what his life has looked like after the show. After all the backlash he received for his behavior, however, his decision to step away from the spotlight isn’t surprising. Kate has also moved on, according to her Instagram. She’s very active online and has kept fans updated on her dating life, including her new man. She posts with her new love often and is very open about how happy she feels in the relationship. In addition to her thriving love life, Kate also created a brand called Spread the Love, which sells clothing and beauty items. She’s also a market partner with the Monat brand, which sells hair care and wellness products. Though David and Kate ultimately did not find their happy ending on Temptation Island, they both seem to be in a better place since the show aired. Fans loved all of the drama this couple had, on the show so let’s hope season three brings just as much heat!
