Since its debut, Schitt’s Creek made its presence known and, from then on, it became an instant classic for its funny scenes, heartwarming moments, and fabulous characters. Schitt’s Creek is unlike any other show out there in the industry, and just about anyone can enjoy and appreciate it.

After six seasons, there are many great episodes to look back on that included the Rose’s, the Schitt’s, and the rest of the locals who made an impact. It’s hard to pick where to start, so why not re-watch the funniest episode first? Reddit is a great place to find inspiration, and when it comes to the award-winning show, fans have narrowed it down so viewers know right where to start.

10 The Drip (Season 1, Episode 2)

Season one had a lot of laughs, but the funniest episode was “The Drip.” The Roses aren’t settling in well to their new digs, and to make it worse; there’s a leak above Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Moira’s (Catherine O’Hara) bed. This is the last straw for Johnny, who decides to take action and sell the town.

From David’s (Dan Levy) comment on his father’s sleep attire to how the Roses are grapple with their misfortunes, everything tumbles out into a hilarious set of scenes. What’s even better is that Alexis (Annie Murphy) and David are invited to their first tailgate party, to which Alexis overdressed, as per usual. David blindly walks into a beer bong challenge.

9 Finding David (Season 2, Episode 1)

By season two, the Roses have gotten their footing in Schitt’s Creek, but not enough to stay. When a prospective buyer shows interest, the Rose’s finally see a way out until the buyer drops dead. There’s nothing funny about that, other than the Roses’ bad luck.

The first episode in season three is well-liked and, according to Reddit, is one of the funniest out of the entire series. In the chaos, David decides to flee the small town with Roland’s (Chris Elliot) rusty truck and ends up on an Amish farm. When Johnny, Moira, and Alexis show up to rescue him, the scene is drop-dead funny. A farm is the last place David would be, but yet he found a way there and outstayed his welcome. Besides David’s adventure, “Finding David,” Alexis is also called out for her disappearing acts in the past and the response marks of her best quotes of the entire season.

8 Milk Money (Season 2, Episode 8)

In “Milk Money,” Johnny decides to embark on a new business venture after trying raw milk at Bob’s Garage. When Alexis realizes her ex-fiancé Ted Mullens (Dustin Milligan) might have a source, it seems like she’s doing a good deed for her father. Instead, Johnny walks into his motel room and finds hundreds of dollars worth of illegal raw milk.

The entire exchange between Alexis and Johnny is cringe-worthy, awkward, and extremely comical. After spending a huge portion of Johnny’s unemployment money, Alexis defends herself for not knowing. But the best scene of all is when Roland, Johnny, and Alexis decide to transport the milk. The entire exchange with the local sheriff is played off in the worst way possible, and in the end, it’s obvious the trio aren’t good liars and crack under pressure.

7 New Car (Season 3, Episode 3)

During the first half of season three, David has come into money, and Johnny decides to borrow some and buy a new car. They know the local dealership will be different from what they’re used to, so Johnny decides he needs to dress like a local. From borrowing casual wear from Roland to Moira’s odd accent at the dealership, the entire sequence is hilarious.

In the end, the dealer recognized Moira, but they get a great deal on a car anyways. Across town, Stevie Budd (Emily Hampshire) learns her aunt has passed away, leaving her the motel. When David accompanied Stevie to the funeral parlor, the entire exchange between the funeral directors and the duo is another cringeworthy moment that makes for good television.

6 Motel Review (Season 3, Episode 8)

Just as Johnny is starting to improve the motel’s appearance and brand, he asks Moira to manage the front desk. This favor is a terrible idea, and when a rare customer checks in, she completely botches the interaction. In turn, the motel gets a bad review. At the local high school, Alexis begins classes to complete her degree.

The interaction between the nervous motel guest and Moira was so wrong, but according to Reddit, so right, and Alexis’s first day at school is a dose of reality. The scene shows how long it’s been since she’s been a student. This is also the first time David and Patrick Brewer (Noah Reid) meet, and their first interaction is awkward but funny all the same.

5 Pregnancy Test (Season 4, Episode 2)

According to Reddit, the opening scene of “Pregnancy Test” is a winner. When Johnny empties Alexis’s bathroom garbage, he discovers something he wished he hadn’t; a pregnancy test. Obviously, his first guess is that Alexis is with child. Instead, she’s about to enroll in college, which she’s keeping a secret. This is also the birth of Moira’s “bebe” quote, which remains one of her best lines in the series.

Her first interaction with a fellow student at Elmdale College is underwhelming to her, but a hilarious interaction with viewers. Throughout the episode, Johnny still believes Alexis’s odd behavior is because of her pregnancy, and when Alexis finds out, she plays along. Amongst all of Johnny’s best parenting scenes, his acceptance of his daughter is definitely noted.

4 Girl’s Night (Season 4, Episode 4)

By season four, Ted and Alexis remained friends, and Ted has seemingly moved on. Moira was completely oblivious to Alexis’s lingering feelings for Ted and went on and on about his new girlfriend, Heather. Moira is usually clueless about other people’s feelings, but this interaction is hilarious yet awkward. To make up for not being more involved in her daughter’s life, she plays chauffeur for Twyla and Alexis’s girl’s night out.

Over at Rose Apocathary, Patrick and Stevie are giving David a hard time about being uncompromising. The entire scene is genius and reveals to David this trait. In classic David form, he hilariously defends himself until he understands where they’re coming from. Lastly, Roland has joined the motel business with Stevie and Johnny, and he’s lazily showing his potential. Even though he says he wants to be more invested, his funny actions prove otherwise.

3 The Barbeque (Season 4, Episode 7)

By the end of season four, David and Patrick have made their relationship semi-official. To mark their anniversary, Patrick sends David a large cookie and embarrasses him amongst his family. The scene is a good one and really brings out the dysfunctional dynamic between the family.

To take the celebration one step further, Johnny decides to bust out a rusty old grill and throw a good old-fashioned barbeque. The lengths David went to keep this from Patrick is chuckle-worthy, and of course, more drama follows. Each and every scene is giggle-worthy and Reddit agrees.

2 Housewarming (Season 5, Episode 5)

In season five, Patrick decides to have a housewarming party and plans it without David’s help. He decides on a themed slumber party, which turns out fairly well. Everyone lets down their hair, especially Ted. Compared to the structured attitude he usually maintains, Ted’s party ways are hilarious to watch. What’s even better is when he and David ending up kissing because of a drinking game.

As if this episode couldn’t get any funnier, Roland and Jocelyn (Jennifer Robertson) are in desperate need of a babysitter for Roland Jr., and they have no choice but to turn to Johnny and Moira. Viewers know the couple isn’t hands-on parents, so the interaction because the “bebe” and the duo is heartwarming yet fun to watch.

1 The M.V.P. (Season 5, Episode 9)

There’s been an abundance of laughs in the first four seasons, but season five’s “The M.V.P” is one of the best. It’s the annual baseball championship game between Café Tropical and Bob’s Garage, and Johnny and David have been recruited to play on opposite teams. While it seems like a natural small-town activity, Johnny and David couldn’t be any less ready for a game like this.

When father and son appear in their uniforms, it’s one of the best scenes of the series. They look the part but aren’t ready to play the game, especially David, who would rather be anywhere else but there.
