As one of the original hundred delinquents sent to the ground, Jasper was excited to explore Earth. Unfortunately, Jasper’s excitement ended quickly when a spear was thrown through his chest. Although he was saved, Jasper was more careful and aware of the dangers that Earth held. Jasper was an essential delinquent being useful as a gunner during the war with the Grounders.

He later became the central delinquent at Mount Weather after Clarke escaped. As hardships grew, Jasper lost some of the optimism he had, and it as replaced with cynicism and anguish. Jasper had done plenty of good things during his time on the ground, but he also had done some bad.

10 Best: Protected His Friends

While blowing up the bridge in season one may have hurt the Grounders, it was an act that protected the rest of the hundred. Since they were at war at the time, the action appeared to be heroic on Jasper’s end rather than negative.

But, that was not the only time Jasper stepped up. In Mount Weather, Jasper tried to protect his friends from being taken by the scientists to be drained of blood or drilled for bone marrow.

9 Worst: Treated Monty Badly

Monty was Jasper’s best friend, but after Jasper started getting recognition, Monty became less of a priority. During their time at the Dropship, Jasper was gaining a reputation for his actions with a gun. Jasper and Monty argued about Jasper’s treatment of him, especially as Monty pointed out that he could always see that Jasper was unique.

While they do patch things up, Jasper later goes back to being wrong to Monty after the events at Mount Weather.

8 Best: Gave People A Choice

Not everyone wanted to fight for their lives and be at war continually. Some did not want to live just for the sake of barely surviving. For those who were ready to die, Jasper took them in and gave them the chance to enjoy what was left of their lives before Praimfaya.

Jasper never forced people to die with him and was straightforward that he would not judge anyone who decided to live. Jasper later discovered that with the right drink formula, he could die before the death wave hit, which would allow him to avoid radiation poisoning.

7 Worst: Initially Trusting Mount Weather

Clarke was immediately suspicious the moment she woke up. Everything from the food to the way the 48 was so readily accepted only made Clarke more convinced that something wrong was afoot.

Clarke revealed her suspicions to her friends, and while Monty considered Clarke’s suspicions, Jasper wanted Clarke to accept Mount Weather as a safe place away from war and flying spears. That attachment did not do him well, though, as Jasper later discovered Mount Weather was not the haven he hoped it was.

6 Best: Saved Octavia’s Life

Jasper made a solid first impression when he was the first to jump in the water to save Octavia from a dangerous aquatic animal. Jasper risked his life to save Octavia, but unfortunately, things would not continue to go well for Jasper. Later, Jasper was speared through the chest and dragged away.

After bringing Jasper back to the Dropship, Octavia looked out for Jasper, wanting him to live.

5 Worst: Spreading Finn’s Ashes

Jasper’s spiral following Mount Weather lasted a long time, and in his grief, Jasper made a choice he couldn’t take back. Jasper stole Finn’s ashes, brought them to the Dropship, and accidentally spread them across the soil. Even though he later informed Raven of what he had done, the choice was insensitive, and it was uncalled for.

However, as Raven had already been under ALIE’s influence by the time Jasper told Raven, Raven’s true feelings about the event did not get revealed after ALIE was removed from Raven’s head.

4 Best: Saved Maya’s Life

After Maya suffered from minor radiation exposure, Jasper stepped up to help save her life. He donated his blood for a transfusion to help Maya heal. Maya was a standout person in Jasper’s life, and he desperately wanted her to come out of this situation alive.

While Jasper does save Maya in that instance, Jasper’s donation makes the scientists at Mount Weather aware of what the 47’s blood could do for their people.

3 Worst: City Of Light

Jasper just wanted to feel happiness again. Knowing that the City of Light could take away the pain, Jasper wanted to be relieved of his feelings. Jasper’s connection to the City of Light and ALIE caused him to go after his friends as they worked to destroy ALIE.

By taking the Key, Jasper also lost his memories of painful life experiences, as shown by Jaha, when he forgot that Wells was his son and Raven when she admitted she could not remember her first kiss with Finn.

2 Best: Saw The Beauty In Earth

After everything he had suffered, even when the planet was on fire, Jasper still saw the beauty of Earth.

Jasper may not have loved how people spent time on wars and violence, but he could not deny the wonders of the planet, something that was immensely positive for a person who had spent plenty of time in a pessimistic mindset. Jasper died looking out the window, admiring Earth for the last time, with his best friend by his side.

1 Worst: Took His Anger Out on Everybody

After Maya died, Jasper spent time getting drunk and living in his grief. Except, Jasper wasn’t only hurting himself. For some time, Jasper took several opportunities to take his anger out on his friends for their roles in Mount Weather’s destruction.

Clarke and Bellamy pulled the lever together, and while Jasper did show signs of hostility toward Bellamy, Clarke was the apparent target of the majority of Jasper’s hatred. He also took out his frustrations on Monty for allowing Clarke and Bellamy to do the deed.
