Even now, CBS’ The Amazing Race remains one of the highest-rated reality competition shows out there. From the beginning, it has distinguished itself as an adventure show that takes contestants on a race around a world as they battle it out for $1 million. It also happens to be among the longest-running reality programs around, having just completed its 32nd season.

Today, it’s almost easy to assume that The Amazing Race would go on forever. And if that’s the case, we thought it would be fun to determine who should be making a return if another all-star season is possible.

10 Kristi Leskinen And Jen Hudak

Back in season 30, there were great expectations that Leskinen and Hudak would eventually go on to the finale and ultimately, win the competition. After all, these Olympic athletes stayed ahead of the pact for most of the race, despite facing some seriously dangerous challenges, such as one which involves climbing up a dangling rope ladder that is being hoisted up by a crane. Leskinen and Hudak advanced all the way to the season’s final leg but ultimately fell short. Hence, one can just imagine that the two women would be eager to return and finally win.

9 Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo

Of all the former Big Brother contestants who have joined the show, it’s safe to say that Franzel and Arroyo are among the most memorable pairs. For starters, the couple only joined the show fairly recently (season 31) and raced bravely against some tough returning Amazing Race contestants.

Despite this, Franzel and Arroyo remained serious contenders throughout the season. Hence, it only makes sense that the couple would give the race another shot. However, that would have to wait as Franzel and Arroyo recently announced that they’re expecting their first child.

8 Jaime Edmondson And Cara Rosenthal

Former NFL cheerleaders Edmondson and Rosenthal certainly know how to keep a race interesting. Back when they joined (and eventually lost) during the show’s fourth season, the women quickly gained a reputation for being particularly rude towards taxi drivers.

While speaking with TVGuide.com, Edmondson explained, “What people don’t see is that at the end of every single leg, without fail, I always apologized to our taxi drivers.” She also added that they would show “remorse.” Now, wouldn’t be interesting to see if they’ll be nicer to cab drivers the next time they race.

7 Joey Covino And Tara Carr

The team joined the show’s 29th season which perhaps, featured the show’s most surprising twist yet. Instead of contestants choosing their race partner ahead of time and on their own, the contestants ended up choosing their teammates at the starting line of the first leg.

And when the time came to buddy up, police officer Covino and U.S. Army officer Carr ended up together. Their partnership proved to be an impressive one, with the team finishing three legs in first place. And if they get another chance, we reckon they’ll be at the front of the pack most of the time.

6 Chris Hammons And Bret LaBelle

Sure, there are a number of Survivor contestants that we want to see on The Amazing Race. For now though, we’re really glad that Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X alums Hammons and LaBelle decided to give this reality competition a try. When they joined the show’s 31st season, the team’s chances of winning the race looked good initially.

In fact, at the start of the race’s ninth leg, the team was the first to arrive in Croatia. However, they had some trouble completing one of the show’s most clever Detours, one that involves snorkeling in the Adriatic Sea for coins.

5  Leo Temory And Jamal Zadran

Cousins Temory and Zadran’s team name of choice is the “Afghanimals” and every time they’re racing, the two men have always been the life of the party. The team first competed during the show’s 23rd and 24th season. They most recently returned for season 31.

And while they were determined to win in the final leg, the team only ended up securing a third-place finish in the end. Admittedly, it’s better than the previous performance. However, it would be really nice to see this team finally take the main prize.

4 Nicole And Travis Jasper

This team of married doctors only got as far as third place during the final leg of the show’s 23rd season. During the race, the pair famously struck up an alliance with dating couple Jason Case and Amy Diaz, who ultimately went on to win the season’s final leg.

Some may even think that the show’s relative success on the show was due to their partnership. However, while speaking with Reality TV World, Jasper pointed out, “Early on, we were pretty dominant and that was before we really had an alliance with Amy and Jason.”

3 Nick And Emily Spangler

The Spangler siblings joined The Amazing Race season 13 and won, making 11 first-place finishes along the way. After winning $1 million, they decided to go on a shopping spree, with Nick buying an apartment and an engagement ring.

The siblings also revealed that they bought a gift for their parents while speaking with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Since then, Nick has gone to Broadway while Emily works for a tech company. With such busy lives, it’s unclear if they can ever race again but we would love to see them return.

2 Tyler Oakley And Korey Kuhl

Oakley and Kuhl came so close to winning the race after finishing in second place during The Amazing Race’s 31st season. During the final leg, the pair went head-to-head with Colin Guinn and Christie Woods as they tried to complete assembling a drum kit.

However, once Guinn and Woods finished first and made their way to the final pit stop, it became clear that Kuhl and Oakley would not be victorious. Prior to this, Kuhl and Oakley also competed during the show’s season 28 where they only finished third place. Perhaps, they’ll finally win the third time around.

1 Cody Nickson And Jessica Graf

Graf and Nickson are both previous winners of the reality competition show Big Brother. And they managed to continue their victorious streak upon winning The Amazing Race’s 30th season. Initially, it didn’t look that the pair stood a chance against professional athletes Leskinen and Hudak.

But fortunately for this team, Graf managed to complete the final task of the race first (building a small plane), propelling them to victory. Following the race, Nickson and Graf had become engaged and gotten married. And we thought it would just be interesting to see them race again as husband and wife.
