Back when Cole and Sheri LaBrant competed on The Amazing Race 28 in the winter/spring of 2016, the show was trying out a new approach to the competition. The teams competing consisted of two notable social media personalities, or one notable social media personality competing with a non-notable personality. The season featured everyone from Youtubers to Vine personalities to Instagram Models. Some teams that competed were Youtubers/friends, Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl, Vine Personalities and brothers, Cameron and Darius Benson, and Instagram models/friends, Jessica VerSteeg and Brittany Oldehoff. Another team that competed was Vine personality Cole LaBrant, alongside his mother, Sheri LaBrant. So what has this team been up to since they competed on the race four years ago?

Cole LaBrant was only 19 when he competed on The Amazing Race, and the mother/son duo finished in second place during the season finale. After the show, a lot has happened in his life. Since appearing on the show, Cole has gotten married to Savannah LaBrant (nee Soutas) and the couple have welcomed two children together, a daughter named Posie and a son named Zealand. Cole is also the stepfather to Everleigh, Savannah’s daughter from a previous relationship.

During the course of the relationship, the couple also added a new member to the family, a dog that they named Carl. According to Distractify, when the dog joined the family, the couple gave him his own Instagram that fans could follow. But later, a tragedy struck the family: Carl had gone missing. In January of this year, the LaBrant’s uploaded a video to their youtube channel explaining that their beloved dog was missing. In the video, the couple explained that the family dog had been missing for three weeks and while it is not clear what happened to the dog, it didn’t look like he would ever return home. Carl was never found, but it looks like the family may be ready to move on. In a new video posted in May of this year, the family took a trip to a family friend’s AirBnB, where they spent a lot of time with the neighbors dog. It was there that the couple’s daughter Posie, who became attached to the dog, inspired the couple to finally talk about getting a new dog. They also mentioned that they don’t want to rush into getting a new dog, but it did spark the first conversation about it.

Although it has been a little over four years since Cole LaBrant has competed on The Amazing Race and despite now having a family, he has stated that he would do an all-stars season of the show if asked back, according to CBS. It is unknown if his mother, Sheri, would compete again, but from the looks of it, they both would come back to compete. With The Amazing Race currently airing its 32nd season, fans may be able to expect an all-star season within the coming years. But with the COVID-19 pandemic in affect, that may put a halt on how soon it may be on TV Screens.
