In season 2 of The Baby-Sitters Club, Kristy and her friends have settled into a great groove running their club and balancing school, friendship, crushes, and family. The main characters are often very mature and they have a lot to say about middle school and life.

From Kristy and her best pals to their relatives, everyone in The Baby-Sitters Club is smart in their own way, and fans love seeing how they handle tough situations, resolve conflict, and learn some crucial and sweet lessons while having a good time.

10 Mallory Pike

When thinking about The Baby-Sitters Club‘s season 2 storylines, fans knew that Mallory and Jessie would join the club since that was explained at the end of season 1. Mallory is not only an enthusiastic and passionate new member, but she’s smart and sweet, too.

Mallory has a bit of a tough time adjusting to the club, as she’s too nervous to be properly trained by Claudia, but as time goes on, she proves herself to be perceptive and caring. Mallory is a brilliant writer and loves observing the people and places around her, and her stories are smart.

9 Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer

While Kristy’s mom is a smart single parent supporting her children as a real estate agent, she shows a lot of strength in season 2 that makes her seem even more compelling.

In one important scene, she and Kristy go to a snobby neighbor’s house for tea, and Elizabeth teaches Kristy that it’s better to be kind and compassionate than materialistic. Elizabeth isn’t comfortable living in Watson’s fancy neighborhood and wants her kids to stay true to themselves. Elizabeth is also one of the smartest characters on the show when she dreams of having a baby with Watson but tells Kristy that it might not happen and they have to be realistic and live each day as it comes.
