When most people think of The Bachelor they think about love, romance, and cocktail parties. However, true fans of the series know that there is much more to the show than romance and roses. Almost every single season of The Bachelor has a resident “villain”. Some seasons even have multiple of these signature characters.

These contestants are people who fight with the others in the house, try to manipulate the season’s lead, and often have emotional outbursts or make controversial comments. The Bachelor Nation villains can be entertaining or annoying and many are often both. They are the women the viewers at home love to hate and are always at the center of the drama.

10 Annoying: MJ Snyder

On Matt James’ season of The Bachelor, there were a lot of firsts. One of the more controversial additions to this season’s format was the introduction of a new group of women a few weeks after the season premiere. When this new set of women arrived at the house, MJ started to refer to the original group as the varsity team and the newer group as the JV team. These words upset the new women and led to MJ being sent home by Matt when he found out about it.

9 Entertaining: Olivia Caridi

Olivia Caridi was the “villain” on Ben Higgins’s season of The Bachelor. Though Caridi took home the first impression rose, her relationship with Higgins did not last. Caridi often clashed with her fellow contestants because they made jokes about her physical appearance.

However, she maintained confidence throughout all of it and was even considered a bit vain by viewers of the show. Caridi was always at the center of drama and she is often considered to be the “villain” blueprint, but didn’t do much that was really terrible.

8 Annoying: Kelsey Poe

Kelsey Poe got the villain label for Chris Soules’ season. She was so enamored with Soules that she did whatever she could to try to win his heart. She often broke the rules of the show and came up with schemes to get closer to Soules. While she did have some entertaining moments, it was very annoying to watch how mean she was to the other women.

Poe often put down her fellow contestants and repeatedly shared her “amazing” backstory until everyone was sick of hearing about it.

7 Entertaining: Tierra LiCausi

Sean Lowe’s villain, Tierra LiCausi, was an unexpected contestant. LiCausi was often injured while on the show but didn’t let it stop her from throwing some punches at the other girls. LiCausi proved her abilities as a manipulator by using her injury to try to gain Lowe’s affections.

Ultimately it didn’t work and ended up causing major issues for LiCausi with the other women in the house. LiCausi’s greatest claim to fame has to be when she accused the others of trying to steal her “sparkle”.

6 Annoying: Vienna Girardi

Vienna Girardi appeared on season 14 of The Bachelor to vie for Jake Pavelka’s heart. One of the earliest villains of the franchise, Girardi made it clear that she did not like the other women in the house and that she felt they were all “fake”. To everyone’s dismay, Girardi ended up becoming engaged to Pavelka at the end of the season. At first, it seemed like the pair would make it work but they ended up splitting, which did not help Girardi to kick the villain title.

5 Entertaining: Victoria Larson

It’s impossible to have a list of bachelor villains without including “Queen” Victoria. From the second Victoria Larson popped up on our screens in her crown and sash, many fans had a feeling she might be trouble. This hunch was immediately proven when she went into the house and started telling everyone how amazing she is.

As the season progressed, she was often found at the center of the drama thanks to her “tell it like it is” attitude. Though her most memorable moment has to be when she took a crown off of another girl’s head and declared that she was the only queen in the house.

4 Annoying: Michelle Money

Viewers knew Michelle Money would be one to watch out for based on her name alone. When she competed on season 15 of The Bachelor, she gave it everything she had. Money often tried to steal bachelor Brad Womack’s attention from the other ladies. She also often threw digs at them and didn’t seem to care whether or not they liked her.

What set Money apart was her confessionals. She never held back and always said what was on her mind, no matter how cruel it made her seem.

3 Entertaining: Courtney Robertson

For a few seasons of The Bachelor, it can be hard to tell exactly who the villain of the season is. When it came to Ben Flannik’s season there is no need for debate. Bachelor nation icon, Courtney Robertson proclaimed her status as the season 16 villain when she released her book  I Didn’t Come Here To Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain.

Robertson knew people weren’t going to like her going into the show and she managed to turn that into a proposal, book deal, and even career.

2 Annoying: Krystal Nielson

Krystal Nielson started to fit the villain arc extremely early on in Arie Luyendyk’s season. Luyendyk took Nielson on a first date to Scottsdale where she got to meet and spend time with his family. When she returned from the date, Nielson barely shared any information on the date even though the other women in the house wanted to know all about it.

Nielson was even mocked for the way that she speaks and labeled “the most annoying voice” by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.

1 Entertaining: Corrine Olympios

Corrine Olympios competed for Nick Viall’s heart back in 2017. One of her most unforgettable moments was when she took a nap during the rose ceremony because she had already received one of her own that week. This was something that had never been done before and angered the other women in the house. From that point on, Olympios leaned into the villain role and got critical in her confessionals and whiny on group dates. What also led to the other women’s disdain for Olympios was her admission that she still has a nanny who does almost everything for her, despite being 24 at the time.
