The Texas native was seen as the nice guy who got engaged to Vienna, though they could not make it work and the pair broke up a few months after the show finished airing. Jake then went on season two of Bachelor Pad for another chance to find love and a prize, but he was eliminated early on.

Jake took part in a short-lived reality show called Famous Food, where celebrities opened their own restaurant in Hollywood and judges get to decide who has what it takes to keep a stake in the business. He also appeared on other reality TV series such as H8R and Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off.
