This season of The Bachelorette is definitely filled with an immense amount of drama. With Clare being the oldest Bachelorette at 39 years old, there are bound to be contestants who have been in serious relationships. Clare Crawley, the season sixteen Bachelorette, has previously been engaged as well. Clare met her ex-fiancé, French-Canadian Benoit Beauséjour-Savard, on the reunion show Bachelor Winter Games in 2018. However, the two weren’t meant to be, and they parted ways only two months later. They announced the break on Instagram, saying, “with a heavy heart we have mutually decided to end our relationship.” There is no bad blood between the two, as leading up to her stint as The Bachelorette, Clare’s ex-fiancé posted a series of congratulatory words that said, “Congratulations to this gem!!” He went on to say, “She will  be an amazing Bachelorette. She is smart, fun, strong, knows what she wants and most importantly, she will call out the guys messing around!! Hell yeah!! Good luck on your journey to find love.” So, Clare is on good terms with her ex-fiancé, but what about previously engaged Bennet Jordan and previously married Brendan Morris? Where do they stand with their exes?

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Bennett Jordan, also known by fans as “Harvard guy,” seems to be on good terms with his ex-fiancé Liz Brim, whom he proposed to in February 2019, according to Reality Steve. The New Yorker had a very impressive entrance, as he came out of a Rolls Royce, but many fans were not impressed by his overly confident, braggadocious nature.

Clare has also been engaged, so they may possibly connect on having similar experiences. 30-year-old commercial roofer Brendan Morais was previously married to Simone Santos for a few years, but the couple divorced almost a year ago, according to Reality Steve. His ex-wife was his childhood sweetheart, as they went to middle and high school together and relocated from Massachusetts to Los Angeles, but after the breakup they both moved back. It is unclear why they split, but hopefully it was amicable.

Clare did have time before hand to research the contestants, something no other Bachelorette has had the opportunity to do so, she may already have known this about the two. Fans will have to see whether Bennett and Brendan open up about their pasts with Clare, or perhaps instead with Tayshia Adams when she eventually joins the show in an unprecedented turn of events never before seen in Bachelorette history, in the words of host Chris Harrison.

The Bachelorette season 16 airs Tuesdays at 8pm EST on ABC.
