The Bachelorette: When & Where Katie Thurston’s Season Filmed

The new season of The Bachelorette with Katie Thurston began filming in March 2021, and we’re here to talk about when it was filmed and its filming location. The Bachelorette season 17 was filmed at The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa in New Mexico. The 30-year-old’s season aired the premiere episode on Monday night, three months after The Bachelor finale. Katie got to meet her thirty suitors and was quite taken with most of them. She especially liked Greg, who was her first impression rose recipient. While Greg may have an edge, 23 other men made it through the first rose ceremony, and they also have a shot.

Bachelor Nation was first introduced to the new Bachelorette when she stepped out of the limo on night one of Matt James’ season, at the Nemacolin Resort in Pennsylvania. For the past year, seasons of The Bachelor franchise have been taking place at resorts around the country, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resorts gave the show a chance to film while keeping the lead and other cast members as safe as possible. Now that the world is slowly opening up again, there is a chance that Michelle Young’s season of The Bachelorette will take place at the infamous Bachelor mansion.

Katie’s season of The Bachelorette was filmed in March 2021, shortly after she was announced as the lead alongside Michelle. Production then wasted no time. Filming began immediately after the finale aired. Katie was flown out to New Mexico two weeks before filming so she could start her mandatory quarantine. The 30-year-old was lucky enough to quarantine in luxury at The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. According to House Beautiful, the name of the resort comes from the Tamayame people, a Native American tribe whose members live in the town of Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico. The resort is centrally located between the Sandia Mountains and the Rio Grande River, offering amazing views to those who stay there.

The Hyatt sits on 50 acres of property and offers lots of amenities. There is a fine dining restaurant, an outdoor pool, a golf course, and a spa. There is also access to ski trails, horse stables, Jeep tours, hot air ballooning, and wineries. It seems as though Katie and her suitors will have a plethora of activities to partake in. Who wouldn’t want to fall in love at a beautiful resort such as The Hyatt Regency? On the season premiere, viewers saw Katie, who fell in love with more than one contestant, meet her potential suitors at the entrance of the luxury resort. She was taken with quite a few men, making her decision difficult when it came to the first rose ceremony. However, the preview for the season proved how much fun Katie and her guys had during their time at the resort.

When Katie was announced as The Bachelorette in early March, she had no idea what she was getting herself into. Not only did she get to stay at a luxurious resort in sunny New Mexico, but she got the chance to met her future husband. Even if she doesn’t find the man of her dreams, at least Katie will have fond memories of a great stay at The Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa.
