The unique Batarang used in The Batman is now a highly detailed collectible. The Batman, directed by Matt Reeves, is the most recent cinematic outing featuring the Caped Crusader. Reeves assembled a stellar cast to bring the film to life, featuring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Colin Farrell as Oz/The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, and Jeffrey Wright as Lt. James Gordon. The Batman embraces the character’s history as the world’s greatest detective, seeing Batman investigate The Riddler’s killing spree, which exposes Gotham’s hidden corruption.

The Batman also features a distinct Batarang placed into his chest armor as the iconic Bat-Symbol. Upon initial examination, it’s clear that the Batarang is a gun that has been cut in half and fashioned into the emblem. Batman is seen using it at different points throughout the film, displaying that it can be removed from his chest to be utilized as a knife or thrown projectile. Theories around this particular Batarang suggest that it’s the gun used to murder his parents, though that has been debunked.

Now, Factory Entertainment has created a beautifully detailed metal replica of the Batarang from The Batman, available for pre-order from Zavvi. The Batarang is a 1:1 scale replica made from digital assets used in the film’s production to make it screen-accurate to the one used by Pattinson. In addition, each Batarang features a hand-weathered finish, a museum-quality presentation box, a metal plaque with its limited edition number, and a certificate of authenticity. The replica sells for $299.99 and is expected to ship on January 31, 2023. Check out The Batman Batarang replica below:

While many may not consider a $300 price tag cheap, the level of detail and production quality speaks for itself. Many fans have also noted that one of the most distinct features about The Batman is the Dark Knight’s suit, with the Batarang being front and center. In prior Batman movies, the Batarang is generally a small piece of metal fashioned to look like the Bat-Symbol while acting like throwing stars. However, The Batman makes a conscious effort to bring depth to the tool/weapon from a design standpoint.

Now, The Batman 2 seems inevitable given the film’s success, with rumors swirling as to how the world may expand. How or if the Batarang will further be incorporated also remains to be seen, but it’s certainly worth keeping around for how multi-purpose it is and how cool it is in the film. It could even be due for an upgrade as Pattinson’s Batman continues to grow as a hero. For now, audiences can get their hands on Factory Entertainment’s The Batman Batarang replica to hold themselves over until the sequel.
