Kujou Sara is a 4-star Electro bow-user, and one of the newest playable characters in Genshin Impact. She just released as part of the Genshin Impact 2.1 update, though she has appeared in the game before. Sara is a general in the Tenryou Commission and is known as the Crowfeather Kaburaya.

Sara is available through the new wish banner, Reign of Serenity, which lasts until the latter half of September 2021. As she is one of the 4-star characters, there’s a decent chance players can get her. Kujou Sara is an asset to nearly any team, provided she is properly built and equipped.

Party composition is an important thing to consider when building a team containing Kujou Sara. One tactic to consider is having another electro character in the party because it activates the Elemental Resonance trait High Voltage. Party members are affected by Hydro for 40% less time, and more importantly Superconduct, Overloaded, and Electro-charged all generate an Electro Elemental Particle every five seconds, which is useful to quickly generate energy for Elemental Bursts.

Understanding Kujou Sara’s Talents in Genshin Impact

Element combos are an important aspect of Genshin Impact, and Kujou Sara has some great ones. Her Elemental Skill is called Tengu Stormcall. She flashes backward, which is useful for keeping enemies at range where they belong (for a bow-user). More importantly, her next fully-charged Aimed Shot leaves a Crowfeather on the ground, dealing Electro damage to enemies who get near it. The Immovable Will talent decreases Aimed Shot charge times by 60%, so players should expect to be using charged shots a lot.

Her Elemental Burst is powerful as well, dealing Electro AoE damage. It does mean she needs to get close to enemies, but at that point, it is a great time to switch to another character, especially with artifact sets like the Noblesse Oblige.

The Best Weapons for Kujou Sara in Genshin Impact

  • Amos’ Bow: Sara really wants to keep enemies at range, more than some bow-users. Amos’ Bow is a good choice because it gets more powerful the farther away a target is. It is a 5-star weapon, so getting it is tricky.

However, the next few bows are all 4-stars and appear in the Reign of Serenity banner. Players might pull one or more alongside Kujo Sara.

  • Sacrificial Bow: Has a chance to refresh the cooldown timer on Elemental Skills. Sara relies on her Elemental Skills a lot, so this works well for her.
  • Favonius Warbow: Critical hits have a good chance to generate Elemental Particles, which means getting Elemental Burst sooner.
  • The Stringless: This bow increases Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst damage by 30%. Kujou Sara will be using a lot of both.

The Best Artifact Sets for Kujou Sara in Genshin Impact

  • Noblesse Oblige: Two pieces in the set increase Elemental Burst damage by 20%, and four pieces increase party ATK by 20% after using an Elemental Burst.
  • Wanderer’s Troupe: Two pieces increase Elemental Mastery by 80. Four pieces increase Charged Attack damage by 35% if the character uses a catalyst or bow, which Kujou Sara does.
  • Resolution of Sojourner: This one is situational. The full set increases Charged Attack Crit Rate by 30%. This pairs well with the Favonius Warbow, but not any of the other bows. It is a powerful combination though, so it’s still worth considering.
  • Traveling Doctor: Another situational artifact set. It’s useful only if there is no healing elsewhere in the party. Elemental Burst restores 20% HP with four pieces in the set. If the party already has a dedicated healer, such as Barbara or even Noelle, another set is better.

Genshin Impact is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Android, and iOS.
