The topic of food was an unspoken bonding moment for the group of friends in The Big Bang Theory. If they weren’t eating lunch together at the Caltech cafeteria, they were eating takeout and talking about their days in apartment 4A. Some of the greatest conversations came about while they were chowing on food.

As the unofficial leader of the pack, Sheldon’s particular idiosyncrasies led the group to eat whatever he preferred throughout the week. Every night of the week had a particular theme for food where Sheldon would order takeout from the same place. The group didn’t always agree with what Sheldon wanted but as usual, they followed along to make him happy. For those who want to eat like Sheldon Cooper, here’s how to do it.

6 Siam Palace

In season 2’s “The Cooper-Nowitzki Theorem,” a graduate student named Ramona Nowitzki wanted to bring Sheldon dinner and talk about his research. With it being a Monday, Sheldon told her on Mondays he gets Thai food from Siam Palace. He orders the same thing week after week: mee krob and chicken satay with extra peanut sauce. Whenever someone else orders for him, he double-checks to make sure his meal is prepared precisely how he likes it.

5 Szechuan Palace & Golden Dragon

As rigid as he is, it appears that Sheldon likes a few different meals from his favorite Chinese restaurants because he’s gotten General Tso’s with broccoli and he’s gotten cashew chicken.

Funny enough, in later seasons Leonard dropped a bomb on Sheldon: he no longer got their Chinese food from Schezuan Palace — he now got it from Golden Dragon. Schezuan Palace closed down years prior and Leonard didn’t know how to tell Sheldon without him having a meltdown, so he didn’t. When it came out that he’s been actually getting their food from Golden Dragon, Sheldon felt betrayed. He has a strict schedule and dedication to certain restaurants and didn’t like being fooled. It should be mentioned, however, that Sheldon never noticed a difference while eating meals from two different restaurants.

4 Big Boy

When Sheldon and Leonard first met Penny, she told them she was a waitress at The Cheesecake Factory, which prompted Leonard to want to visit her while she was working to spend more time with her. The only problem is that Sheldon didn’t want to try new restaurants or foods. He was comfortable with his weekly dining schedule and didn’t want to mess with it just because Leonard had a crush.

While at the restaurant, Sheldon felt uncomfortable. He told Penny that he typically gets his burgers from Big Boy every Tuesday night. Little did Sheldon know, he would no longer be getting his food from Big Boy after tasting the deliciousness that The Cheesecake Factory had to offer.

3 The Cheesecake Factory

Knowing what Sheldon got from Big Boy, Penny told him to try The Cheesecake Factory’s barbecue bacon cheeseburger because it was the most similar to Big Boy’s burger. Sheldon ended up loving The Cheesecake Factory’s barbecue burger and was seen eating it throughout the series.

The group typically ate out when eating food from The Cheesecake Factory but in “The Panty Piñata Polarization,” Sheldon was seen eating a burger with onion rings on the couch. Realistically, this meal was probably a to-go order from The Cheesecake Factory. It’s not very likely that Sheldon would be okay with eating a burger from an unknown restaurant in the comfort of his own home. But even with the knowledge of where his meal came from, this Tuesday night meal was ruined when Penny took one of his onion rings without approval.

2 Giacomo’s

Thursday nights used to be for the Souplantation but Sheldon later changed it to pizza night from Giacomo’s. Unlike his Thai or Chinese food order, Sheldon typically got the same kind of pizza: black olives, mushrooms, and sausage.

As the series continued, the theme of Anything Can Happen Thursdays was brought up, which ended their time with Giacomo’s. But as usual, trying new things every single Thursday became too much on Sheldon’s stomach (and made everyone else around him annoyed). The gang went back to pizza on Thursdays but they changed restaurants.

1 Franconi’s & Graziano’s

Speaking of changing pizza restaurants… When Leonard began dating Priya, his annoyances with Sheldon became even higher. With Priya being newer to the group, she opened Leonard’s eyes to how closed-off his life was thanks to babying Sheldon. Leonard began to fight back with Sheldon’s rules and even questioned their beloved roommate agreement.

With Priya being a lawyer, she took a look at the contract and realized Sheldon pulled the wool over their eyes. No one was allowed to change a restaurant without talking it over with the group and taking a vote. Sheldon, however, never confronted the group and changed their pizza from Franconi’s to Graziano’s. The group of friends didn’t care enough to fight Sheldon on this change but it proved that Sheldon only abided by the contract when it benefited him.

It should also be said that the pizza place, Jets Pizza, was also mentioned once but never again.
