Coping with the loss of her husband, Liz is living alone in a cabin in the middle of the woods. When she finds an injured man alone before a storm, she brings him into her cabin to care for him.

When a group of men appears shortly after claiming to be friends with the injured man, Liz quickly discovers something is not right. Sensing the danger, Liz launches into a coordinated attack on the men, channeling the pain and anger she feels over Tom’s death before returning home and deciding to seek revenge on Tom’s killers.

8 Worst: Episode 6: The Travel Agency (No. 90) – 7.7

The task force begins to hunt The Travel Agency, an assassin for hire company that has been committing murders for years. To their surprise, they discover that almost every member of The Travel Agency has been killed and are left hunting for the remaining member.

Meanwhile, Reddington and Tom come face to face as Tom works to discover the truth behind the bones and Reddington works to stop him. The episode ends in a long-overdue marriage between Liz and Tom.

7 Best: Episode 11: Abraham Stern (No. 100) – 8.7

When a valuable penny is stolen from Reddington’s collection, he manipulates the FBI into helping him catch the assailant. Using information obtained from four pennies, Reddington teams up with the Blacklister to rob the U.S. Mint.

After killing Navarro, Liz disposes of his body. When she accidentally leaves incriminating evidence at the scene of the crime, she is forced to break into the police’s evidence room to steal it back.

6 Worst: Episode 5: Ilyas Surkov (No. 54) – 7.8

While hunting an international terrorist, a member of the task force is abducted. The task force is forced to work in collaboration with the CIA as the targets are claiming to be CIA operatives.

During this mission, it is unclear who is on the right side of the mission. Silmulateniously, Nik’s murder is discovered leaving Elizabeth and Tom searching for answers.

5 Best: Episode 19: Ian Garvey (No. 13): Conclusion – 8.8

The conflict between Reddington and Ian Garvey finally comes to a conclusion in this episode. Reddington, determined to get back his bones, sets up a meeting with Garvey but anticipates an attack.

The episode ends with a shootout that leaves both Garvey and Reddington severely injured.

4 Worst: Episode 15: Pattie Sue Edwards (No. 68) – 7.8

Following a breakout of a deadly virus at a diner, the task force begins to search for Pattie Sue Edwards. This former member of the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Disease Control will stop at nothing to avenge her husband’s death and murder the man she believes to be responsible.

As Liz’s search for Tom’s killers continues, she begins to work hand in hand with Detective Singleton and they formulate a plan to draw the killers out of hiding. Unfortunately, Singleton is murdered. However, at the crime scene, Liz makes an important discovery.

3 Best: Episode 22: Sutton Ross (No. 17) – 8.8

The season finale ends with a big twist. When Sutton Ross stages a robbery, the task force captures him. Reddington demands that the task force help him secure the bones and refuses to help them until they agree. But during interrogation, Ross is able to escape taking Liz hostage.

When Reddington arrives to save Liz, Ross tortures Elizabeth to get information from Reddington. The task force arrives in time to save Liz and Reddington murders Ross and retrieves his bag of bones. But unbeknownst to Reddington, Liz has secretly been working with Ross and Jennifer and has discovered the truth behind the mysterious bones.

2 Worst: Episode 17: Anna-Gracia Duerte (No. 25) – 7.8

In order to take down Ian Garvey, the task force begins investigating the death of a smuggler employed by him. They discover that he has a child bride for a wife and end up tracking a former child bride who frees girls from their husbands by murdering them.

As they work the case, Reddington interferes with the case, insisting that he must keep his secret.

1 Best: Episode 8: Ian Garvey (No. 13) – 9.4

This episode contains one of the most beautifully devastating scenes of the entire show. After attempting to evade Garvey and escape with the bones, Tom ends up in the middle of a shootout with Reddington and Dembe coming to his rescue. After breaking away from the group, Tom discovers the truth about the bones and contacts Liz.

Before the pair can discuss his discovery, Liz and Tom are once again captured and Tom is stabbed multiple times and Garvey reclaims the suitcase once again. As Garvey’s men begin to dispose of their bodies, Reddington and Dembe bust in and race them to the hospital. In the car, Liz and Tom profess their love and say goodbye as Dembe rushes them to the hospital and Reddington looks on, powerless and hopeless. When Liz awakes from a coma 1o months later, she discovers that Tom has died.
